I use Keynote for all my class presentations. It's my go-to software when I need to quickly adapt an existing presentation or create one from scratch since it has a streamlined UI and easy to apply transitions.

Likelihood to Recommend

Copying and pasting graphics and images from other software is a straightforward process. I regularly use Adobe Illustrator for creating icons and illustrations, which can be easily copied into Keynote presentations. Videos are automatically embedded into presentations, so even if I lose the original MP4 file, the video is still included.

We primarily use Keynote to put together client presentations and have transitioned from using it on stand alone documents that we had to send around to collaborate on to using online to collaborate on documents across the organization. Online is a true t is a true game changer in that it enables simultaneous work on documents to save time and increase collaboration and alignment.

Pros

Enables the integration text, images and graphics extremely seamlessly
Allows realtime collaboration across teams
Allows fine tuned control over graphic elements, images and text to achieve superior design (relative to PPT or Slides)
Enables for presentation or for print equally well

Cons

Having to open the sidebar to control text sizes and graphic parameters is an extra step that also consumes valuable screen real estate. Integrating some of those (especially type size and color of type, fills, and lines) would be very helpful.
Certain bugs like the color palette never working the first time it is selected and an attempt is made to apply a color - it always takes two tries :(
Required software version updates occur with no warning whatsoever so you can be working on a collab Keynote doc (on a tight deadline) and a dialogue box pops up that says SW update required and you no longer have access to the document you had just been working on. This is a HUGE problem and a deal breaker. (it occurred less often recently though)

Likelihood to Recommend

If you are not in a PC/Windows based context (devices and co workers), and you have a consistent group of collaborators (with the same company emails) its the most intuitive, most powerful, and most flexible platform. Slides is more compatible across broad teams from different organizations and people including with consultants (work these days is extremely collaborative with all sorts of people so this is a opportunity for Keynote to improve.)

I am a youth pastor and use Apple Keynote as my main presentation software. Keeping the attention of teens can be a struggle at times, so using Apple Keynote connected to a large TV in my space allows me to create a presentation to go along with my message. This not only helps keep their attention but also gives a visual form of input for the students as they're learning.

Pros

I find the user interface for Apple Keynote very easy to navigate and interact with.
The displayed presentation is always clean, crisp, and professional looking.
It pairs nicely with the Apple Keynote iOS app, which I use as a remote for my presentations.

Cons

I would really like to be able to have better control of the presentation from the presenter's display. Having the options of a control screen with a grid of all the available slides in the presentation would be great!
I would love to be able to add or edit a slide without exiting the presentation.

Likelihood to Recommend

Apple Keynote, in my context at a church, is great for classes, sermons, or other presentations that are pre-planned and where there is no likelihood of changes needed during the presentation. If you need to put things up on the screen on the fly, it is not suitable for your needs.

Apple Keynote is superior in terms of design control and getting the most precise alignment with brand guidelines in terms of sizing, layout, colors and fonts. The master slides feature works very well. I particularly like how easy it is to just copy and paste an image into an image placeholder. Master slide layouts make it easy to lock items in place, but it is also easy to temporarily override master slide items if I want to make slight customizations, which is much harder to do in Google Slides.

The biggest issue is that it is very difficult to work collaboratively with others without using iCloud. My company does not have icloud addresses and we cannot share file owner rights using our company email addresses. Even when I have used iCloud to collaborate it is very slow and lags sometimes so that it does not update for all users at the same time. The file size of .key files is also extremely large, making it difficult to send in emails.

Keynote is mainly used for all sorts of presentations in our company now, We used to opt for Powerpoint, but now the Keynote is one of the most commonly used tools in the whole company, the reason was the integration with Mac, It comes built-in and has compelling features, It might not be as powerful as PowerPoint. Still, it touches all the basic points much more efficiently and effectively. Highly satisfied with Apple Keynote.

The best case scenario for Apple Keynote is that you get it built-in with any MacBook, so you don't have to download anything and you're good to go for any sort of presentation. One more thing which I really admire about Keynote is that it has really cool animation style, You can literally create some basic video content using Keynote. Animations are also very easy to use, so If you want to have more animations you can just use Keynote instead of Powerpoint. Keynote has never been less appropriate until you have Windows as your Operating System. Another time where Powerpoint takes an edge is when you have to use a lot of features.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Apple Keynote is my preferred presentation software application. I use it to create all types of presentations for my company: business pitches, reports, workshop presentations, etc. It's great for creating quick template-based presentations, as well as for complex and sophisticated ones that require animations and embedded files. I love Keynote because it's more intuitive than PowerPoint.

Apple Keynote is one option in my arsenal of slide deck software. Keynote is comparable to Google Slides and PowerPoint but offers its own sets of advantages and, depending on the client, KeyNote sometimes works best for their slide needs. By utilizing a program like KeyNote, I am able to create presentations for clients that they can self-edit moving forward. Another advantage is that Keynote comes in stock with all Macs, removing overhead costs.

Likelihood to Recommend

Well Suited: Setting up in-person presentations for clients. The transitions are nicely integrated, the master template easily adjusted, and the file size relatively small for ease in download and emailing as a leave behind.

Less Appropriate: Clients often feel that EVERYTHING needs to be set up as a slide deck. However, it is key to listen to the client's needs to first determine the final output. What was initially predetermined to be a slide deck may often be more effective as an email, brochure, or flyer. Keynote does what it is intended to, well, but that doesn't mean that it should ALWAYS be the end product format.

I use Apple Keynote to create slide presentations. I also use it to create pre-event openers for signature events at our organization. These often include a mix of facts about our organization, photo highlights, and housekeeping information for the event.

Cons

The way you adjust timings for builds and transitions was a bit counterintuitive for me. Once I got the hang of it, it was fine. The timings don't work the same as they do in PowerPoint. So if you are a PowerPoint user, that may be something you have to adjust to when you switch to Keynote.
I feel that adding images can be clunky when working with image placeholders. Apple Keynote forces you to use the Photo app to replace image placeholders.

Likelihood to Recommend

Apple Keynote helps you create polished-looking presentations. Apple Keynote's visual aesthetic for templates and default settings even for charts and tables is more elegant and modern than PowerPoint's offerings. However, PowerPoint offers more advanced features. It is a more robust slide show option and can be integrated with Microsoft Word and Excel. Also, PowerPoint can be used across platforms, including Mac and Windows. However, Apple Keynote is for Apple devices only. If you are collaborating on a presentation with other users who may not be Apple users, you will need to stick to PowerPoint.
