AirTable is being used across our organization to keep track of and collect stakeholder information and data that's imperative for the operation of our organization. It provides us with the detailed information we need to make smart programming and business decisions.
Pros
Direct connection from forms to database
Easy to learn and use
Great for small organizations who are looking to grow
Cons
Data doesn't work well with our Google Suite products
Not sure when to use different bases and different sheets within one base
Social sharing isn't as customizable and shows up with AirTable branding
Likelihood to Recommend
Works well for organizations who do not have the time or funds to implement a full-scale database system and are looking for an easy transition from Google sheets or Excel documents that allows them to handle more complex situations and datasets. It isn't as appropriate for those organizations who don't have 1,000+ contacts or rows that they need to keep track of all at once.
Our company is responsible for the distribution and sale of food wholesale, therefore, using software like this to organize, sort and classify our information has been very helpful. You can manage your customer database masterfully in a reliable and productive way. Airtable allows us to establish links between the different fields and categories of our database and use it efficiently for the benefit of the company.
Pros
It's an easy to use platform.
It is quick to get information to others through links, or by exporting data in CSV files.
Spreadsheet appearance makes it easy to handle and manage information.
Integrates well with other productivity tools.
Payment per month is affordable for small and medium-sized businesses.
Easily puts your inventory in order.
Cons
The errors that may occur during the use of the platform depend on the knowledge of the information and its configuration, otherwise, I consider it an excellent platform to manage databases.
Likelihood to Recommend
It is an excellent platform for managing customer databases, monitoring production and distribution chain projects, and inventory management.
Right now we use Airtable for our whole organization. We use it to manage weekly tasks. Every week we look at the Airtable to see what needs to be done and mark off tasks that are complete. We also use it for our influencer management and shipping management. It helps us store key information in all the same place.
Pros
Flexibility: there are many view features and different ways you can use the product
Integrations: there are so many apps you can integrate it; from Slack to Shipstation
Beautiful: it just looks nice to use. Sometimes project management apps are ugly, this isn't
Cons
Pricing model: we don't like how we have to pay per user.
Calendar view: we wish the calendar view was better, or if there were different types of calendar views. Right now there is just one.
Complicated: some parts of the app are a little complicated.
Likelihood to Recommend
It's good for people that want to start to use a project management app. Right now we use the free version, which still fits our needs. I don't think I'd recommend the paid version, we haven't felt the need to upgrade it. I think it's a better version of Google Spreadsheets and forms, so if you are using that for project management, please switch over to Airtable.
We use Airtable across the organization and also within different departments. We use Airtable for CRM (Customer Research Management), general bookkeeping, project and task management. We also use it for timekeeping; we create online forms and have stakeholders submit relevant information. We manage our social media calendar, general calendar, and list of events in Airtable. We have eliminated many apps and now conduct the related work in Airtable.
Pros
Filters and grouping of Data. Airtable has many options to filter and group data and it could be done so quickly and presented very cleary.
A different view of the same database. Airtable allows the user to create views such as 'Gallery', 'Kanban' 'Calendar' and 'Grid' view of the same database. Many versions of each view can be created thus saving time and resources duplicating data. These views can be then shared with stakeholders.
Templates - Airtable provides many templates to allow new and experienced users a ready-made platform to work off.
Cons
Bookkeeping, while there are many options for bookkeeping it's still not as straightforward as more well-known spreadsheet platforms. Improvements here would allow companies to export their basic bookkeeping to Airtable.
Integrations. Airtable is lacking in integrations. Having more integrations would enable Airtable to become an even stronger database for organizations.
Organization. When a base has a large number of tabs it's hard to get a helicopter view of the tabs. Although the search is pretty good.

Airtable is fantastic for managing information either on a small or a large scale. If you need to access data and get results quickly, Airtable is a great option. We also use it for CRM and task management among other tasks. While there are better CRMs and task management systems out there, having them all in one platform makes us work more efficiently.
AirTable is being used across our organisation for asset management, business modelling, workflow and project management and reporting,
Pros
AirTable allows me to present information to stakeholders in a format that allows them to dive deeper, but doesn't overwhelm them with too much information
AirTable gives each person in our small organisation access to customizable tools we wouldn't be able to afford to develop bespoke versions of
AirTable forces us to be more rigorous about data entry than traditional spreadsheets, meaning we have fewer human errors in our data.
Cons
We'd like AirTable to have a Gantt view so our small team only needs to use one piece of software for project management

AirTable suits our small time of people who are comfortable with technology and have close communications. It means we can all jump in and tweak systems to our needs,
Airtable is being used by our whole organization. CARS (Counseling and Referral Services) is a free service that provides connection to resources for youth and families residing in Los Angeles County. Due to Los Angeles County being so big, our organization uses Airtable as the resource hub. We use the list and blocks to have a list that can be filtered as well as a map to reference. It is managed by the Intake Unit, which consists of 2 employees, but is accessed by around 24 employees at our organization.
Pros
Quick and easy to use.
Great additional features, specifically the mapping feature.
Easily able to customize the rows/columns in the sheets as best fits my organization's needs.
Cons
Need to study all the additional features (there's a lot) to find out if our organization can use it.
Likelihood to Recommend
I find that Airtable is well suited for companies/organizations that have a lot of data that needs to be organized, quickly updated, and accessed by employees easily. There are many features such as graphs, filtering options, mapping system, calendar options, and such. This is very helpful for our organization as we need a place to easily and quickly navigate community resources to provide the families we work with.
We're using Airtable to create exhibition checklists. This has been done using Excel in the past which is certainly not designed for this process which requires that multiple images be tracked with cross-referenced data. Airtable is the ideal tool for this task.
Pros
Airtable looks like a standard spreadsheet but the features go much deeper.
There's a good library of available templates which make it easy to get started.
Collaboration is easily accomplished. There are multiple permission levels so you can be assured that the right users are seeing/doing what's necessary.
Cons
The inability to wrap text in a table needs to be addressed.
You can't perform conditional formatting.
There's no way to connect databases to each other.
Likelihood to Recommend
Airtable is great for tracking images that need corresponding data attached. I have yet to find any scenarios where it would not be appropriate.
I use Airtable to manage our communications, scheduling and contracting with Community Partners when it comes to our curriculum as well as our community events. We also use it to coordinate details with our gardens and garden leaders, as well as for our evaluation of our programs. We use it for a bulk of the organizational tracking but mainly for our Education Department. It allows us to centralize our communication-- our team and work is so spread out but overlaps based on roles and responsibilities so Airtable allows us to share information to the right person no matter where they are or we are, and track our communication with partners to continue to build strong relationships.
Pros
Tracking Information
Personalizing the way you need to interact with process and view information
Communication (Internal & External)
Features that enhance the information you collect
Cons
It's new so it's constantly developing new features so cons are really things that haven't been developed yet
Working across workspaces/bases
I don't think I've even gotten to all of the features yet to know what it CAN'T do! :)
Likelihood to Recommend
It works well for us and we are an educational non-profit, so I think it is really responsive to the specific needs of unique, specific mission driven organizations with non-traditional work flows.
Airtable has streamlined the way I track my sub-awards, contracts and all of the information I gather from all of our contacts. We are a small organization so I am the only one entering data at this point and our other employees are viewing the information that I have gathered. It has made it much easier for all of our program managers to see the information they need right away.
Pros
Airtable makes it very easier to filter data by one particular field.
Airtable makes it easy to switch views for example from calendar to spreadsheet.
Airtable makes it very easy to share the gathered data with all of our staff.
Cons
I would like Airtable to have an address field that is exportable into a mass mailer.
I would also like to be able to search for duplicate entries.
Likelihood to Recommend
Airtable is well suited for any information tracking that you may currently be using an Excel sheet for and it is easier to customize and share the information. It is also able to allow you to add attachments and photos which a spreadsheet cannot do.
