We use Airtable to track just about everything. From product development to project management, social media management, inventory, client profiles... just about everything.
The ability to keep records in AT and view them in different ways is what makes the platform so useful. As a product gets developed, it's helpful to see different aspects of it. Starting in ideation, we can easily attach colors and raw materials early on. When we're in production, we can keep inventory numbers, sales data, attached to the same record. When we move into marketing, we can connect that record to similar products, so they're all attached to a project. It's such a good, well rounded way of looking at and keeping track of products, ideas, tasks... anything you can think of, really.
Pros
Organization
Time Management
Interconnectivity
AI integration
Cons
Searchability

Airtable is an ideal platform for small and growing businesses to keep track of just about EVERYTHING they need to keep things running smoothly. It's a great way to keep tasks organized, and keep everyone on the same page with progress on all things.
Our company finds the kanban particularly useful, as products go through a lifecycle from ideation to retirement, it's good to keep a database of what is in production, what's working, and what we've tried before.
I can see the platform being challenging with much larger businesses, but for the small to medium businesses I've used the platform with, it is ideal.
We use a tool that helps us streamline the communication flows with teams not using the Global CRMs. Mainly to report specific key actions that need to be done daily or important escalations that need to be completed within a short SLA and in a structured way. Is also a tool make announcements to different audiences across the company, and a repository of actionable data.
Pros
Automated emails with a simple click
Good space storage shared between teams
Easy to design structured approaches with cross functional teams
Cons
Is not so easy to integrate with other CRMs
Better account support for small accounts
Should be easier (low code) on setting up automation

It's a good way to streamline communication with multiple departments. Excellent at automating repeating tasks Good repository of data Appealing layout
My organization used Airtable as a low-code "database" and project management tool. We weren't large enough to need "real" relational databases, and Airtable allowed our nontechnical users to easily perform CRUD operations and visualize information.
Pros
Custom views of tabular data.
Audit trails: who edited what, and when?
Custom scripts and automations.
Cons
When records are deleted, there could be more options for what happens to associated records in other tables.
Multi-select fields should be sortable.
The per-user pricing model can be cumbersome when you need to share bases with third parties but can't use a publicly accessible URL.

Airtable is great when you need more than a spreadsheet but less than a SQL database. For example, we used it to organize the implementation progress of a certain type of feature in our software product.
We tried using Airtable as a substitute for a project manager, and that unexpectedly did not work well. However, the PM that we finally did onboard ended up using the PM base that I built.
I use Airtable to organize specific assets and files for my team to easily refer back to. I also use to keep track of all my campaigns and projects. Airtable creates a more efficient experience for my team and I by being able to store everything, in an easily manageable way, in a single place.
Pros
Airtable is great for managing data. It's like a glorified excel sheet.
Airtable view's allow me to create specific views for specific people which reduces clutter and creates a more efficient experience.
Airtable has a great form functionality so it's easy for other people to add new tasks.
Cons
I'd like to see Airtable continue improving their interfaces

Airtable is well suited for anyone that manages data, stores data, and tracks multiple projects. I see Airtable like a hard drive and excel sheet combined. You can run similar formulas with as an excel sheet but also be able to add files to that specific row/data point. Anyone who is looking for a way to stay organized can benefit from Airtable.
Our marketing department uses it in a number of different ways, its versatility is one of its strong points. Our two most significant use cases are as follows: Firstly, we have a massive base containing all of our programs and channels that are broken out by individual activities/campaigns/etc. (over 1300 records) that all feed into a number of Airtable apps. Secondly, we have another base being used as a DAM that contains well over 1000 documents, images, etc. organized by a multitude of attributes. Personally, I have a number of other bases that I use for various areas of my job, all of which are incredibly customized to fit my needs and the needs of the topics. The versatility and customizability of Airtable are really, really great. You can format, structure, link, and edit to make it do (virtually) whatever you want.
Pros
Visualize data in an organized and aesthetically pleasing manner
Hide information to simplify use without having to delete or archive
Use the same data set to create a multitude of different views that cater to different needs without having to update multiple locations
Cons
Airtable's Interface functionality needs a bit of work but to be fair, it is still in beta
The graph/chart apps are great but I wish they were significantly more customizable
In my experience, Airtable is like skiing, it's easy to learn/use but it's hard to really get good at. Maybe offer formal certification courses of some kind?
Likelihood to Recommend
If you're looking for formal project management software, I think there might be better apps out there. But to be fair, I have not used it much at all for formal (marketing) project management goings-on. Otherwise, I would be hard-pressed to find a scenario that wouldn't benefit from Airtable. It's kind of like excel's much more attractive cousin that's far more personable and charming but probably isn't as smart, which is still a compliment. If my company were to drop Airtable, I would certainly have a panic attack as I spend hours every single day using it and I quite literally depend on it in so many ways to do my job.
Specific departments at my company use Airtable for project management, participation tracking, employee data, and more. Airtable helps us track data in a shareable, trackable, aesthetic way, and offers much more user-friendly options for filtering and tracking compared to Excel or Google Sheets.
Pros
Filtering and grouping data.
Offering customized views for the data you want and need to track.
Allowing you to embed Airtable data in other places.
Cons
Tracking detailed changes from yourself and other users
Easier in-product user-tutorials to help users perform different functions

Well suited:
Tracking data
Analyzing data
Organizing and sharing data
Less suited
For working with one-time or limited data.
Smaller organizations that don't track much information.
Airtable is a professionally designed tool that
really gives a true sense of handling the projects on large scale. I am using
Airtable not only for managing the projects but also I am aligning the upcoming projects
by having detailed insight into my schedule, it is turning our company towards success. This tool has helped to carry
out the estimation of my projects so that I give my customers the most
reliable solution and of course it is based on what amount of time I am
investing on each project against what my client is paying me.
Pros
This application has made it easier for us to achieve our monthly targets.
Airtable also updates me through the transparent and most current status of my ongoing projects thus I can easily manage the workforce handling and deadlines.
With the use of Airtable, I am capable of building a better project execution plan with the mutual concern of my team members.
This application has helped me to a great extent for working on remote basis.
Cons
While working on the Airtable I have noticed that it is not open to uploading of the files for large sizes, most of the time files are not uploaded or links may get broken.
In addition, they do not talk much about the time tracking tool and how we can calculate our hours, I still do it with just estimation and by the calendar.

[Airtable] is highly recommended for project handling. Airtable also opens the door towards
sales and marketing as it is integrated with so many social platforms. This
application will give you freedom of working. Its integrations with Dropbox and
Google Drive will help you to easily drag and drop the data.
Airtable is mainly used across my Account Management Department for the organization. We use it to keep track of all RFP's that come in from sales, status updates, revenue, wins/losses, etc. We also use it to keep track of reservations for homepage takeovers, newsletters, etc. It is also a great way to keep track of PTO and vacation days.
Pros
Great organization tool for project management.
Variety of customizations.
Very use friendly, especially on mobile.
Cons
There is limited options on the free version.
Big learning curve for beginners.

Airtable is extremely helpful for teams to stay organized and keep track of project management—both internal and external. It's a great alternative to Excel when you are constantly making changes and are concerned about working off of the wrong version.
Airtable is a unique database service in that it can be used to extend logging operations for projects that require it. Airtable data sheets can be managed in a shared way with other employees, but they can be separated to compare the results of each one, and that the work remains orderly even if there are several documents with the same name. Airtable has a good service, but it goes much further by offering online training sessions, where the hosts explain in detail how certain parts of the software work, and answer any questions that arise. Using Airtable to manage the databases of our department was undoubtedly a wise economic decision, because thanks to how easy it has been to use the work has increased and has improved its quality when creating annotations in the data tables or creating copies of these.
Pros
Airtable provides an activity flowchart where you can note all the updates of the planning of each project to be launched soon.
The platform has quality control functions, which are executed before starting to release the projects under publication.
Databases that are imported from services such as Excel can have any size of extension.
Cons
Airtable does not integrate with collaboration services with which it is possible to review live changes within each spreadsheet (in the case of keeping them closed).
Does not automate analysis traffic.
It does not include any section where it is possible to communicate with the other editors.
Likelihood to Recommend
It integrates well with many online payment administration services, so it is very feasible to use Airtable to create reports of payments and disbursements carried out during the project. It is good for creating documents from scratch, which would help in the organization and management of reports. It is recommended to work with files in a shared way.
