Pros
Comprehensive Platform: Users have consistently praised Ahrefs for being a comprehensive platform with all the main features needed for SEO. They appreciate having access to competitor research, keyword research, website audit, content research, and rank tracking all in one place.
Valuable Backlink Data: Many users consider Ahrefs to have the best backlink data in the industry compared to other tools. They find the large and up-to-date backlink database extremely valuable for tracking new backlinks, broken backlinks, and anchor text of links over time.
Useful Keyword Data: A significant number of users find Ahrefs' keyword data to be extremely valuable. While some rank it as the second best in this category, they still consider the data provided comparable to top-ranked players.
Ahrefs is the tool we rely on for getting an accurate count of referring domains, along with associated data such as date added, target URL for the backlink. We can also track our competitors’ links, conduct keyword research. I particularly like the visualisations native to the tool, enabling me to get quick snapshots of our competitive performance over time series, and keyword volume variation is very helpful to see too.
Pros
Data visualisation
Referring domain tracking
Keyword research
Cons
Sometimes we’ve noticed referring domain accuracy is not up to scratch for France and Canada. Which is odd. The Ahrefs team haven’t provided a reasonable explanation for why this is the case.
Referring domain counts have fluctuated, which makes it challenging to narrate progress to internal stakeholders. Ahrefs team has also been less than brilliant in their support for this issue.
Likelihood to Recommend
Ahrefs is well suited to a small to medium sized content marketing team who need an all in one SEO tool. It does pretty much everything you’d ever need, from competitor domain research to keyword tracking, list building and link research for referring domain growth. It does so much at such a high quality it’s hard to think of any other tool that you would really need for a small business looking to build their SEO.
Aherfs is the primary tool we use for all SEO purposes in order to drive organic growth and generate revenue. It's a great tool for analyzing the organic competitive landscape, conducting technical SEO audits, researching new keyword opportunities and monitoring and reporting on the position of already ranked keywords. Combined, all these features are a great way to stay on top of organic performance and ahead of the competition.
Pros
Competitor Analysis
Technical SEO Audits
Keyword tracking
Content analyses
Backlink audits
Cons
Internal linking recommendations
Bulk exports of data
Data visualization
Likelihood to Recommend
Overall, Ahrefs is a great SEO toolkit for marketers of all skill levels. It's straightforward to use and you can track competitors' performance as well as your own property's organic presence in a matter of minutes. On the other hand, all the new features under the "opportunities" section could be improved to identify even more room for improvement for each connected property - especially the internal linking suggestions.

The best feature that I use about Ahrefs is the keyword tool. One feature that Ahref is better than the other products is the backlink report. Ahrefs gives me a more detailed information on the backlink link than any other tools I have used. I am usually satisfied with the results that Ahrefs shares with me concerning my website. However, I find Ahrefs pricing a bit toward the higher side. May be the team can decrease the prices or add some discounts etc.,
Pros
Backlink Report
SEO Audits
Keyword Research
Topic research
competition analysis
Cons
A better view at rankings. Sometimes the rankings are not correct.
Price point is a bit too high.
The SEO audit should be available in the free version

Ahrefs is best suited when we need to do a backlink analysis and also when we need to do a complete technical SEO audit. My team mostly uses the tool for backlink purpose and audits, we also use the same for tasks such as Keyword research, topic research, understanding the difficulty of the keywords. We do also use the tool for a competitive research.
I have used Ahrefs for keyword research, SEO audits, and backlink monitoring. Ahrefs claims to have the biggest database for keywords to research and likely it is true. The platform has helped me research keywords that have high volume but low competition. The platform can also throw alerts for any links that your competitor acquires through email alerts.
Pros
Ahrefs can perform keyword research helping me find low-competition keywords to rank quickly.
It is also a very good tool to perform SEO audits for a website.
I constantly monitor a few of my competitors to check their link-building lists. Any new links they build are an opportunity to build a link from my platform.
Cons
They should have Google Search Console integration wherein ranks of Google Search Console and ranks of Ahrefs keyword tracker can be compared.
At times, the platform throws fake alerts for links acquired by competitors.
The platform could potentially help in understanding new pages created by competitors.

When it comes to off-page SEO, Ahrefs is the best tool and can easily beat the competition. Some of the use cases where Ahrefs can help you in off-page SEO are: 1. It can help you find broken links to your website which you can easily fix to gain SEO value. 2. It can extract all the links for competitors to understand their strategy.
I typically utilize Ahrefs on a weekly basis to primarily check on my client's backlink profile as well as their competitors. It's useful for me as it helps me develop and monitor my client's off-page SEO strategy. As a company, the SEO department and the PR department are the primary user of this platform, however, our Content department additionally utilizes it as an alternative to SEMrush.
Pros
Client Backlink monitoring.
Competitor off-page SEO strategy research.
Content ideas based off of strongest backlinks.
Cons
Weaker keyword research abilities compared to competitors.
Steep learning curve to understand full capabilities.
Expensive.

As an SEO professional, Ahrefs is almost an essential tool in my arsenal to discover meaningful backlink and off-page data in regards to my clients. There are multiple scenarios in which I turn to Ahrefs including:
Rapid keyword growth on a page that hasn't had any on-page optimizations performed on it.
Ahrefs Site Explorer is used by the SEM department in my company as a means to find organic keywords people used to land on our websites. This allows us to target those keywords in our content, giving us one up on our competition. Ahrefs is also very beneficial when doing link building. We can use their link intersect to see what backlinks our competitors have that we don't and go after them.
Pros
Provides us with backlinks
Provides us with organic keywords lists
Cons
I wish I could filter out more than one keyword
When looking at information about domain authority it's not very intuitive
Likelihood to Recommend
Ahrefs Site Explorer is great for finding new keywords that you didn't already have in your website or even better versions of the ones you already have. The tool used for link management is great because it's easy to use and generates links you don't have quickly. This allows us to contact other vendors and have them quickly link to our website.
Ahrefs Site Explorer is used by the SEO area to find info about backlink profile, backlink strength, etc. for clients, potential clients (sales prospects), and competing sites. We use it for competitor analysis. We use it to see the state of sites' backlink profiles at a glance. We use it to find potential opportunities to get backlinks for our clients.
Pros
Backlink finding
Analysis of competing sites' backlinks
Cons
Backlink profile thoroughness
Wish it was a tad cheaper
Likelihood to Recommend
Ahrefs Site Explorer is very well suited for looking at a competing ranking website and finding: what is their backlink strength? What backlinks do they have? Are there some backlink opportunities we can capitalize on? Do they have more powerful backlinks than us? What are some organic keywords they rank for that we could take up? What is their estimated organic traffic?
It's not as good for finding super fresh news backlinks - doesn't pick those up as fast as I'd like.

We use the Ahrefs Site Explorer as part of our Link Building services. It provides a great way to track how many backlinks we've built over time and how much Domain Rating has changed. It also allows us to look at what sites are linking to our clients' competitors and see if there are any that we can potentially reach out to.
Pros
The platform is easily navigable with tabs on the side to look at different reports. It also provides Info links that you can hover over, which explain specific terms that the system uses. This greatly helps prevent any confusion.
Great for competitor analysis to see what websites are linking to your competitors. The fact that it lets you look at multiple competitors at the same time to see if they share any links that you don't have is also excellent.
Cons
I wish there were a shorter path from seeing competitor backlinks to seeing what page on those sites is linking to the competitor. If there were a way to do this all from the Link Intersect tool, it would be much easier.
Organic Keywords report could let you more easily see how rankings change over time.
Likelihood to Recommend
Ahrefs Site Explorer is essential for any marketing team that does SEO. Link building is a huge part of ranking for targeted keywords, and Ahrefs Site Explorer is the best tool I've used to keep track of all that. It is less appropriate as a keyword tracking tool. I've found that SEMrush is much better for doing a site audit and tracking how keyword rankings have changed over time.

We use Ahrefs Site Explorer to help us with keyword research, backlink tracking, competitor tracking, and looking at the top pages on our site. It helps us make strategic decisions on our SEO strategy, content creation, and how to work with other departments. Currently, it's only used by our content team and our SEO team, but others have expressed interest in being trained in it.
Pros
Backlink tracking
Top pages/subfolders
Cons
Visualization of organic keywords drilldown
Site audit feature is weak

We love Ahrefs Site Explorer, and it's been an invaluable tool. We switched from a competitor tool because we felt Ahrefs Site Explorer better suited our needs. We were doing more content creation, strategy, and comparisons. Ahrefs Site Explorer has helped us find content gaps with our competitors, and we've been able to create a strategy to go after those gaps.
The keyword research section has been really good for us. It's been really valuable to see the click percentage when we're doing keyword research.
Our department uses Ahrefs Site Explorer for a myriad of things related to SEO, both paid and organic. I specifically use it to determine whether the influencers our company works with have adequate websites that will create positive linking opportunities for our brand. It also helps to evaluate their social channels too!
Pros
Provides Website Traffic for Prospective Partners.
Link Intersect Tool helps to Find New Niches for Marketing Projects.
Cons
Very Crowded Dashboard.
The Color Scheme Is Outdated and Could be More User Friendly.

If you have an arsenal of tools to pick up where your other tools lack, it would benefit you to have Ahrefs Site Explorer to fill a void where something like Moz, Semrush, or SimilarWeb may be lacking. It's always beneficial to look at things more than one way, and Ahrefs Site Explorer provides a unique look at basic SEO tenets and processes.
