I most often use it to review digital PDF documents that we design for our clients. Things like reports, ebooks, book covers, Infographics, case studies, and white papers. I sometimes use it to edit or sign documents, but less often now. I usually use docusign for document signing, and keep Adobe Acrobat for reviewing PDF assets that we deliver to clients.
Pros
Hyperlinked digital publications
Digital documents
Print publications
Cons
Docusign documents
Easier live text editing
Faster ways to reorganize and split up documents
Likelihood to Recommend
Adobe Acrobat is particularly well suite for reviewing designs for print publications. When I design a book cover or the interior of a book or magazine in InDesign, I always export a PDF and review the final file to assure how it will look like in print and for the printer. It's also excellent for long digital PDFs where you might wanted a hyperlinked table of contents and hyperlinks within the text.
I use Adobe Acrobat in my organization for documents and contracts. It helps me with signature verification. Allows me to switch between microsoft word and back to pdf when updating documents. This is very helpful with business problems because it allows a seamless experience when working with clients on documentation and contracts.
Pros
Edits within the document
Signature Verification
Universal PDF document everyone can open and view
Cons
Live sharing
Likelihood to Recommend
Adobe Acrobat is well suited in scenarios where there are contractual agreements in place or general documentation. It can track changes made and it is able to be converted into Microsoft Word seamlessly. Additionally the edits that you are able to make to the document are super beneficial because there are certain things you cannot easily do it Word where you can easily move things around within the document. I don't believe it's necessarily appropriate when drafting up a document for the first time, I feel like I would normally start in Microsoft Word and then export to Adobe Acrobat as a PDF after a document is created.
We use Adobe Acrobat to open PDF files and fill forms. It helps generating the text boxes automatically and make the form filling processes very smooth.
Pros
Open PDF files without issue. All fonts are well displayed. Other softwares sometimes struggle on rarely found fonts.
Automatically form text boxes generation.
Easy to make comments and edit contents.
Cons
Hand written signature does not work as expected.
Should allow hand written signature and digital signature together.
Editing simple texts require paid license. This should be open to free use.
Likelihood to Recommend
A little bit drawbacks, but in general still better experience than other PDF readers.

I cannot think of a scenario where it is less appropriate. Mostly if I need to create a non editable document I find it super useful
I am using Adobe Acrobat since a decade. Its the basic tools to make pdf, access the pdf files, making changes in the file, editing , add electronic signatures to documents etc. Its the most used tools in our organization manage teams and others work related docs. I think Adobe Acrobat has very competitive scope in coming future for our work related needs.
Pros
merging pdf files
adding electronics signature

Cons
sometimes user interface is hard to navigate
Its quite expensive for smaller organization
It takes a significant use of computer memory while working on large files
Likelihood to Recommend
Adobe Acrobat is best when small to moderate working files for editing, merging, adding e signature. how ever if you have updated operating system it is best to use. It can be buggy for older versions of computer operating system.
Document standards, collaboration, security, paperless workflows, and accessibility are all addressed by Adobe Acrobat, which is used for creating, modifying, and safely sharing PDFs. Contracts, reports, presentations, forms, file conversion, web optimization, and multimedia integration are all included in the scope.
Pros
It provides accurate text, picture, and graphic editing capabilities inside PDFs while preserving formatting consistency.
Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are just a few of the file formats that Adobe Acrobat effectively transforms to PDFs while maintaining style and content.
It improves usability by converting scanned documents into editable and searchable PDFs with Optical Character Recognition (OCR).
Cons
Although Adobe has mobile apps, they are not as feature-rich as the desktop version, especially when it comes to intricate editing chores.
With a high learning curve for advanced functions like batch processing and complex editing, the UI might be intimidating to novice users.
For small enterprises or individual users that don't want all the advanced services, the subscription model may be expensive.
Likelihood to Recommend
For managing legal documents, corporate reports, forms, collaboration, and accessibility compliance,Adobe Acrobatis a great tool. It is less suitable for highly dynamic contentdevelopment, intricate data analysis, and graphic design.
Our organization uses Adobe Acrobat in order to view, to edit or to create a variety of PDF documents. Some of them serve as documentation serving various purposes, while others are forms that are then automatically sent to be digitally signed. We also use Adobe Acrobat to modify existing documents based on the needs, as long as they are not locked.
Pros
View PDF documents
Create PDF documents
Modify PDF documents
Prepare PDF documents for digital signature
Electronically sign PDF documents
Share PDF documents
Cons
Reliability and stability, particularly when it comes to the application's windowing (frames, sizing, etc...) and interaction with the operating system.
Accuracy when it comes to performing some term searches within a document ; for instance, for truncated words at end of lines or words with accents, capitals, special characters, etc...
Resources consumed by the application so it remains lightweight and efficient.
Additional improvements may be achieved when it comes to ease and speed of deployments, particularly from scripted environments.
Sudden application crashes or errors due to unknown application bugs.
Significant room for improvement of the intuitive and ergonomics factors, particularly when it comes to using the editing tools. For instance, to add text or objects within a document, the toolbars should be easier to use.
Likelihood to Recommend
Adobe Acrobat is very well suited when it comes to generating documents which need to be digitally signed, making it extremely easy, convenient and conducive to promoting effective business or legal transactions that can be trusted thanks to the use of digital certificate which prevent falsification. The associated automation and notification features really help make everyone save an enormous amount of time and essentially eliminate the need to print, mail or fax documents.
In addition, Adobe Acrobat is obviously the originating leader of PDF document management and therefore sets the direction and support for the product and associated standard, so that is one important reason to trust and invest in the company's product line.

I mainly use the Adobe Acrobat platform while working with contracts. Specifically, in addition to the Reader function, I edit scripting as well as attach signatures and commentary on signed counter party provided contracts that need to be edited before further processing is needed as part of the contract management process.
Pros
Editing scanned documents.
Pulling text from individual documents.
Cons
AI application.
Natural language extraction in volume.
Contract lifecycle management.
Likelihood to Recommend
Adobe Acrobat professional document platform is at its best when working with individual documents, editing basic language text, and extracting for manipulation and insertion/reinsertion. Where Adobe Acrobat professional document platform comes up short is when attempting to do all of the above at scale and volume. Also, users using this function would like to be able to store and manage contracts in the same platform - an ecosystem (that doesn't exist).
