What is Acquirell?

Acquirell is a SaaS procurement technology suite solution tailored to SMBs. Acquirell enables businesses to save the time of their procurement teams by eliminating manual workflow and automating the procurement process. The E-Sourcing module of Acquirell enables the companies to attain more savings on purchased volume by conducting various forms of sourcing events.

CONTRACT LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT - minimize errors and reduce time spent by automating all stages of working with contracts: from initiating to archiving. Ensure compliance.

E-SOURCING - purchase the key strategic items at the best possible prices through running various forms of sourcing events: from RFQs sent to all suppliers to Auctions.

SUPPLIER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT - record all interactions with suppliers and develop SRM strategy in one system. Accredit suppliers and create a preferred supplier list.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Now we can easily handle PO processing and running RFI, RFQ, and RFP events with Acquirell. Also, we keep and manage our requisitions in a single system just by adding line items (or requirements as it is called in Acquirell) to the requisitions. However, we decided not to use their Contract Management module.

It is very easy to communicate within a team and with vendors regarding our purchases through Acquirell

The tool enables us to manage almost all procurement processes and move them from Excel, Word, Email, etc.

It is easy to review the quotes through Acquirell instead of collecting bids via Email

Pros

  • Good PO processing capabilities
  • A robust Sourcing Module where we run our RFI, RFQ, and RFP events
  • Requisitioning module that allows keeping requisitions in electronic form instead of sending emails that are always being lost
  • Communication that is recorded in the system
  • Approval Routes features that let us handle our complex approval flow

Cons

  • Cannot edit the text of the contracts in the Contract Management module just like we were editing it in MS Word
  • Accounts Payable is out of scope
  • The Supplier Management module is "just okay". Acquirell team should develop features

Mainly, Acquirell enables us to automate the main processes in our procurement activities: PO and Contract Management, RFPs, etc.

Pros

  • Robust sourcing module with very flexible configurations is a great tool for running RFPs
  • We can easily send POs to the suppliers via Acquirell
  • The great Contract Management module lets us administrate the contracts easily
  • We can easily handle the supplier database

Cons

  • Requisitioning is not convenient. It seems a bit complicated.
  • There is no invoicing. It is necessary to attach separate files. I hope that Acquirell team will develop invoicing capabilities, so we will not have to attach separate files.
  • The tool is mostly designed for procuring physical items than services. We had to play with the evaluation criteria to tailor Acquirell to our processes. We are procuring services more than physical products.
