Cheetah DMS works as a central hub for your online customers. You are able to test and measure different marketing campaigns on a variety of channels (programmatic, e-mail, etc). It's useful for big companies that work across the whole online spectrum and are not niche players. Also, the cost makes it impossible for a small player to acquire this product.

Even though the price of Offerpop was affordable, I still couldn't justify it. Our engagement on contests went down and no visited the UGC page. I can see if you had thousands of entries for a contest, you would definitely have to go to a solution like Offerpop.

  • The entry forms can become a little overwhelming especially if you add your review to the page at the bottom. It would be nice if users could click on a "rules" link and then have those details scroll down.

Cheetah has never been known for its customer service and the few times I had to contact the answers I got were either incomplete or not really useful for the problem I was having at the moment. I think there is a lot of room for improvement in this aspect.

They are very comparable to each other. Cheetah is a little more user-friendly and the customer service is much better, but Responsys had more features that I liked to use.

At the time, Offerpop was the most affordable products on the market. Wildfire had sleek designs, but that wasn't enough to compensate for the higher cost. Other competitors have since entered the market at a lower price point so do your homework. Also, Facebook has relaxed rules for timeline promotions. It doesn't completely negate the need for Offerpop's services, but now you can conduct quick and easy contests without 3rd party apps.
