Very helpful in saving time and costs when it comes to planning business travel, tracking expenses, and reimbursement management. Their support team is friendly and comprehensive, they manage to do changes to our reservations within 10 hours before our trip with no extra costs. I can't find a scenario where it is less appropriate.

Pros
  • I got very competitive flight tickets. Booking was very easy since I don't need to make a payment on my own.
  • It was automatic payment by the company's preset card. Hence, the transaction was very smooth.
  • I was able to do a group booking when we went for a business meeting. It helped us to get same rows seats, hence it was more productive even inside the flight.
  • Any time I contact the support team the response was immediate and great.

  • Customer Service is top notch and incredibly responsive to any tech issues or questions.
  • WeTravel is constantly improving their softwares’ functionality and adding new features for payment collection in multiple currencies, vendor payouts, registrant information collection, etc.
  • Their fees are only about 1% of your trip’s revenue, which is much less than Square or PayPal.

  • Truly awful customer service agents who are careless and make mistakes constantly
  • Inability to see other travelers on the App, even as an admin
  • AE does not escalate issues quickly or seriously enough

  • Refunds. I'd like to be able to refund any amount of the trip cost, not just payments in full. For example, someone puts down a $500 trip deposit. WeTravel only gives me the option to refund that $500 in full, not partially.

Alternatives Considered
TravelPerk does not make us pay for booking flights so it is a much cheaper option for the same quality of service. The chat option is great, compared to phone customer service with Egencia that also gets costly: $22/call.

WeTravel is far superior to PayPal. Their fees are much less, and they offer so much more than just payment processing. They are a huge asset in helping me manage all the retreats we run, organize information and room availability, and process payments

  • Saves the HR and events team time: employees can book their travel by themselves
  • Saves the finance team time: employees book travel using the corporate card, so they don't need to be reimbursed
  • Efficient documentation: it's very easy to see and manage employees' trip info and receipts in one place, which helps with accounting
