Tour de Force can be very useful if you have someone on staff to configure and set it up. It needs constant upkeep with changes in what's needed, and constant updates. This would not be good for small businesses that do not have a sales teem. They charge heavily for tech support.

Veeva CRM is best used in areas of Pharma companies or Animal Health based organizations. It adapts to the Health regulations which makes it easier for inventory and order management.

  • We can quickly see Customers sales for the week, month, year, and past years.
  • We can get deep into the data of a customers sales history and what they are or aren't buying.

  • Sharing of media within platform helps keep record of what materials were used in the interactions
  • Data extraction via API is easy

  • There's too much data, and sales people have trouble finding what they need.
  • It can be hard for IT or sales manager to manage all the data in an informational way.

  • The UI is a bit outdated and the system is somewhat lacking flexibility overall
  • The reporting functionalities are very limited - it's great to gather data but a 3rd party solution is needed to get some meaning out of it
  • Pricing. Veeva are big and therefore not that flexible. This does not make them the most small/midsize customer friendly

Tour de Force was less expensive than Sales Force, and has more abilities that Epicor CRM.

As Veeva CRM is built on Salesforce' platform, both solutions have rather similar look, feel and offered set of functionalities. Veeva CRM is geared up specifically for the pharmaceutical industry - to my understanding, there is an agreement between the companies, preventing Salesforce.com from stepping into the pharma market. So if you are familiar with the Salesforce.com experience - from the solution to their implementation, training and support approaches - you can expect similar from Veeva (CRM).
