While Storylane had a number of features that impressed us, at the time of evaluation, we felt ScreenSpace provided stronger UI features for a desired branded experience and stronger customer support possibilities.

The ability to tell a story in a digestible, & user friendly way is unmatched comparing to the more code-based style tours.

Those are better for sales engineers to copy the HTML code of the software; whereas screenspace tours allow you to show something beautiful, that website …

The demos can be used in a number of ways, whether you want it front and center on your website's home page, or more in the background. The dashboard and ability to easily edit was really nice to use. We went through several changes on our copy/creative and it was easy to make quick changes and then the demo was automatically updated on our web pages.

    Storylane
Basically if you want to provide a walk-through of a website, then Storylane is well suited. I can't think of a scenario where it is less appropriate unless you are trying to use it for something it isn't intended for. I'm not sure if it will work with a WASM page, so if you are working with WASM, you should at least test that out.

    • There's nothing to dislike about ScreenSpace.

    Storylane
    • The relationship between "pages" and "steps" can get very confusing if you are having to do a mass revamp of a saved story.
    • Some of the interface is less than intuitive than it could be.
    • I'm not a fan of mouse over features, I realize it is a modern metaphor, but it's a bad one.

The success team is very responsive and quick to address any issues – which rarely comes up. I appreciate Darren, the CEO, being hands on and working with my team to answer any questions and ensure they hit their targets.

We were able to configure ScreenSpace in a way where the demo will not go stale, even if we change our product. The overall value and features are captured. Other products were a bit too granular and would easily get out of date.

They are both good products and pretty similar. Navattic definitely had some strong features, but with Storylane, they were incredibly responsive to requests for help and feature requests and it just "looked" better. Storylane also "felt" better in terms of working with it. There were some design flow decisions made with Navattic that I found to be a bit counterintuitive.

    • So far, we've seen 10+ demo requests come directly from people interacting with our story.
    • We've also improved interaction rates with our story by adding a dedicated page on our site as well as call-out buttons in our main nav to direct people to the story.

    • We were getting thousands of engagements on our Story's.
    • We are able to use them as an educational resource when potential clients asked a question.
    • The SDR's were able to use them as assets to create interest.
