Billing and Claims Management
Comparison of Billing and Claims Management features of Product A and Product B
I believe it is best suited for organizations that wish to utilize all of the available tools within the system. I do not believe it is well suited for organizations that lack a deep understanding of the revenue cycle process or individuals who try to cut corners in managing accounts receivables. It works extraordinarily well in situations where one will take the time to set up all the available tools, test them, and make them part of their workflow.
We love the system. Very user-friendly and any level of user can pick up the system without training. Being a trainer myself, this is an awesome selling point. I have not found a specialty that cannot pick up and run with the program. Kareo has eliminated our "wasted" time and given us new avenues to use our resources more productively.
The ads are very annoying and distracting. I would like to see these removed.
Sometimes when using the prescribing feature, the list of meds is unscrollable. This is likely a glitch that could be fixed.
Same thing after choosing a pharmacy. The preview page of Rx is unscrollable, making it impossible to see all of them. Would like to see this fixed as well.
Would like to be able to add more templates under the macros but it is not clear how to do this.
Sales representative needs to know the product. We got tied into a miscommunication on the package (contract vs trial) when we decided to work with them
Tutorials are good but can be overwhelming because there are a lot of features to learn
Charging to migrate client data was a determining factor on whether we wanted to continue with the company. If we knew this upfront it would've allowed us to say "no thanks". And to add the charges are not cheap and they charge a la carte (i.e., demographics, billing, progress notes, forms/intake info)
Kareo was a massive waste of money. It's an unreliable product without promised features and sold by a disingenuous sales team. We will stick to reliable services like Doxy, Therapy Notes, etc.
Having used other systems, there are still items I would like to see added to this platform. Additional forms, understanding of how to load those forms into the system. Ability for clients to access those forms. And the ability to upload forms that are coming in externally. This would be helpful.
RXNT offers better quality and more customization for the cost. Valant was very expensive regardless if you wanted a few features or the entire EHR. eClinical Works is easy to duplicate records but then it can take a while to update with current information. And their updated version...you might need a magnifying glass especially if you are using on a laptop. I love the larger font and overall appeal of RXNT much better
I have used QuickEMR and Kareo hands-down is just more appealing and easier to enter all patient information. I did find that QuickEMR for administrative staff is more user-friendly. Kareo provides more patient information and is very good about seeing what is missing in order to file a claim.
