OpenTable vs. Whitespark Local Citation Finder

It all comes down to budget and options. Most places that can be found in the app are in the upper price range, so if the company is paying for the meal we immediately look for something in OpenTable. If each one of us is paying for its meal, the selection process might be a bit longer and we might have to make the reservation via phone call or just show up and hope we get a table.

We have a client base within our organization of about ~5,000, so it can be difficult to keep track of all of their marketing status/standings. The Whitespark Local Citation Finder removes the aspect of human error and ensures that we are providing fast, reliable results for thousands of our clients. Being able to see our competitor's citation summary is a large advantage, not other products such as this provides.

• Reservations are reliable.
• Options are well organized and that speed decision making.
• The ability to save restaurants I liked.
• UI is clean, color scheme looks good.
• Lots of information about the place is provided, including specific price range and safety precautions.

• The information within the finder is very accurate, which eliminates us having to dig through the internet for citations.
• The reports are automated for you, so there's no extra work on the user's end.

• Having more places on it.
• Better suggestions by location. I live in the border with US and even though I open the app on the mexican side, it suggests US restaurants.

• One small improvement I'd recommend is creating the ability to connect to 3rd party platforms, such as Google Data Studio

We have used BrightLocal in the past, which was a great platform. The biggest difference between Whitespark and BrightLocal is its usability. BrightLocal can be difficult to navigate, while Whitespark is much more straightforward and easily navigatable. Within our large organization, we also use the Whitespark Rank Tracker, so being able to utilize multiple Whitespark products streamlines a lot of our processes.

• It's hard to calculate but it saves time and time is money.
• Helps take into account the expense process because we know what kind of payment type we can use at each place.
• Helps us select the correct place if we are going to talk shop or just team-build.
