Node.io (discontinued) vs. TechTarget Priority Engine

Earlier this week, we had a mishap where a client's birth certificate went missing while being transferred between departments. This could have been disastrous for both our employees and the client, but Sugar allowed for quick detective work that let us track the document's passage between specific employees, and the item was located and returned!

TechTarget would notify us when prospects looked us up by name or specifically researched areas where our product would prove beneficial. It did a great job gauging legitimate interest from the prospect and gave an idea of a timeline as well so that we could understand their urgency.

• Customer profile and sales analyst features provide relevant information for sales calls.
• Node allows me to bring more vendors and more contacts in, allowing me to expand lists and connect with more accurate contacts.
• Node's collaborative nature is very appreciated when they keep on asking for feedback for improvement.

• Contact Info is pretty good. I've occasionally found better data than I can get from our chosen lead solution.
• I don't know of another alternative source, but TechTarget provides data on content that people are researching.
• TechTarget provides current tech stack for companies that I'm researching.

• More focus on the display of scanned documents

• It is not particularly intuitive
• Too many steps to get where I need to go
• Needs to provide more depth to help determine urgency and intent to buy
• Response rate from contacting leads based on search behaviors was almost nil. This may be partially due to messaging on our end.

I'm just a business user of TechTarget so I really haven't had the chance to gauge what the support is from a customer standpoint. Given that we recently rolled it out and everyone is utilizing it daily I would assume that their support is strong enough for us to continues to use it.

Node excels when it comes to lead intelligence like account-level and market insights. Its lead management module gives better segmentation and account identification. It is a good choice for mid-size companies (50-1000 employees) and their quality of support is very satisfactory. Its searchable data gives accurate results and its ease of integration with Salesforce is an added advantage over its competitors.

TechTargets Priority Engine's interface and customizable features were easier to use and better organized than ZoomInfo's. I like the custom alerts that TechTarget provided, and I'm not sure ZoomInfo had the same feature. I would get email alerts any time a target customer read a white paper or downloaded a brochure, which made my timing for prospecting much easier. I do believe ZoomInfo's company directories are more robust and wide-spread

• Our company has increased profits 20% from last year after implementing Sugar
• Our transfer to largely remote work has been hugely simplified by Sugar
• Despite an industry-wide "pandemic slump", the ease of use brought by Sugar has allowed us to remain a major player in tax assistance even as other companies have struggled

• It is best when used in conjunction with all of our other tooling and not used alone
• It has enabled my team to have a better feel for what is happening at a prospect's company
• It sometimes consumes too many hours in the day waiting on data to load, and time is wasted toggling between pages
