Definitely a recommendation. Every business owner or someone who wants to analyse his business should have a look at Insights. I guess especially as it is for free in the Base version (we got the Premium one) its a no-brainer to just do it. It takes less than 1-2 hours and it really gives deep insights into a company. I guess also perfect for consultants who can then offer follow-on services as MoreThanDigital isnt offering consulting - just the analytics.

smartocto is very well suited to measuring blog performance, gaining insights into topics that resonate & measuring how well your content team is performing. It makes for a good, user-friendly alternative to GA4. It could do with better SEO tracking features as this is what most B2B content teams are focused on.

Alternatives Considered
Well, till now we didnt use any tools for that. I am not even aware if something like that exists. But we worked just with consultants sometimes or mostly actually making strategic decisions on our own. So there was not really a big "process" before possible as we just made it like everyone else with discussions and some informal process.

Google Analytics is a general type analytics better suited for sales than media environment. It gives good overview data but it is hard to setup a system in a newsroom where you could make data driven decisions on future content. smartocto is editorial analytics suite and is easier to use in a newsroom.
