Polycom Trio 8800 is a conference phone system that offers high-quality audio, as well as the ability to add video conferencing and HD content sharing. RealPresence Trio is Skype for Business on-prem and Office 365 Skype for Business Cloud PBX certified for conference calls and supports a 1080p30 USB camera for video conferencing. Users can share content from their personal devices, facilitating a BYOD (bring your own device) approach to collaboration.
This is a great solution for video and audio conferences. One device to rule them all. So, if it is an office space meeting room setup, it's very good to use. On the other hand, if you are doing a meeting at a cafe or a coffee shop, it's not recommended as the speaker has a good range and clear sound quality. Everyone around you will be disturbed by your meeting then. In short, Jabra Speak Series 510 is for office setup in small or large meeting rooms. Also, I've seen that it's better to use it in a round shaped table rather than on a long rectangular table.
We have Polycom Trio for all our conference rooms which do not need video. They work perfectly well, providing excellent quality, sound and features. The sound quality is good for small to medium rooms. We have added additional mic pods for large conference rooms, helps to get voice from users speaking from corners of room. Registers/Integrates fairly easily with Unified Communications platform.
Audio conferencing is wonderful. This product really excels at audio. Connecting up to Skype for Business Online, we have been able to place regular phone calls as well as Skype based calls. Quality of audio is excellent. This really depends on the amount of bandwidth you have. I really recommend if you have over 5Mbps of available bandwidth.
We felt that there should be a small remote control type thing that can give the user flexibility of not getting up to manage the Jabra Speak Series 510.
It seems like a longshot but Jabra Speak Series should come with it's own bluetooth and should not depend on a Jabra dongle. I know it's good to sell accessories but this is a suggestion that Jabra should think more about.
We are in south asia (Bangladesh) and getting after sales service here is tough. Jabra can look into it.
The headset is intuitive and easy to use, with tactile buttons for volume, power, bluetooth, play/pause, ANC, and pass-through audio. It can connect via USB, bluetooth, or USB cable to a computer, and has a high-quality connection to the device, which can stretch up to 20 feet without issue.
Polycom Trio provides better conference call quality, picks up voice from corners of the room with additional mics for large room, better widescreen display, and it was mostly the user satisfaction which made us choose Polycom Trio.
Increase in Conference Call productivity. Using the Skype For Business integration, we can share content on screen and hold video conferences where anyone can join with a skype for business account.
