If you know Nagios or Nagios-like monitoring systems, OpsView will be really easy for you to learn and manage. Migrations process will be relatively easy. You're getting great U/I that will speed up adding new objects to the system and present data in a clear, organized way. In addition it's easy to create dedicated dashboards for your clients.

• ITRS Geneos has many built-in plugins to integrate with other widely used tools like Control-M.
• Apart from being the monitoring tool, it provides different features like capacity planning and log analytics.
• ITRS Geneos' new UI is quick, responsive and user-friendly.

• Easily extensible. We write many of our own monitoring plugins for Opsview and use open source Nagios community plugins as well
• Quick to deploy. Don't need to worry about all of the dependencies that you need to with something like Nagios
• It just works. Most of the housekeeping tasks are completely automated
• Nice visualizations and dashboards

• The only problem I really had was the adjustment abilities of the GUI, otherwise it was a great product.

ITRS Geneos support is well managed by its wide variety of options like live chat, query submissions, 24/7 on-call support, self help and of course well-documented details about its features and troubleshooting methods. ITRS Geneos is being used by many big size organizations because it is a stable product with a good pool of knowledge available about it.

Every tool that competes in the market with ITRS Geneos has its own capabilities and shortcomings. For our project, ITRS Geneos stands out since it is a stable product with a long history of serving large organizations with huge number of components to monitor. ITRS Geneos has upgraded itself to a new and better GUI interface and has offered integration with different tools.

Nagios and Zabbix - Opsview is much easier to setup and operate than both of them. SolarWinds Orion - Opsview is much more economical
