Life made easier with this service. All our databases and file systems backups are performed using this service. Most of clients felt it's more convenient and better for backup purpose. Even mobile team likes this perform backups and upgrades of softwares. Only issue is not not compatible with the iOS mobiles and devices.

Well suited for domain disaster recovery. I would avoid considering it for remote or non-domain disaster recovery. While it claims to have the ability, and we have used it this way for years, it often loses it's connection to the DPM server for no apparent reason, and has to be reconfigured. It doesn't always seem to work

Cloud Backup and Recovery by Huawei is more cost effective when I compare it with its Amazon Counterpart, it has more features and the recovery time is way above what the AWS Backup offers. The policies available for data backup is also more flexible with Huawei, which makes making custom policies easier

  • Migrating to cloud for the purpose of storing data has cost us more, hence currently we are not able to calculate its ROI. We will observe it on later stage.
  • One positive impact is that now our files are auto synchronized so we do need to worry about deletion of files or data as we can recover it instantly hence we will not encounter loss due to accidental deletion of file.
  • Sharing of data has become a feasible option through Huawei Cloud Backup and Recovery (CBR) as we can easily share links and content to different people.
