LinkedIn Sales Navigator for Gmail (formerly Rapportive) is a free Chrome Extension that shows an email recipient's LinkedIn details within the user's Gmail inbox, and allows users to jump to the contact's LinkedIn profile. Rapportive was acquired by LinkedIn in 2012. In November 2017, LinkedIn released a new version of Rapportive called Sales Navigator Lite for Gmail, which makes some features of LinkedIn Sales Navigator accessible from within user's email inbox. The HG Insights Platform has helped us with GTM planning as we segment accounts amongst our verticals. There are verticals with specific tech stacks that we would like to prioritize, and HG Insights allows us to do that. The account scoring allows us to prioritize outreach efforts. We are able to use the technographics to weigh scoring and assign those accounts out accordingly.
This product allows seamless integration between Gmail and LinkedIn Sales Navigator and imports data directly into our sales intel system. It is valuable to help map relationships and create timely sales pushes for key accounts. It would be valuable to have more robust integration with CRM systems like Salesforce and more reliable and robust contact information as well.
Sometimes it tells me I need to log into my LinkedIn profile when I've already logged in. It's weird. It seems to be when the email address is not found. Instead of just saying the email is not found, it tells me I need to log in. Just something I've noticed.
Sometimes I get this weird thing where I go to compose an email and instead of having it open all the way to the right, it opens all the way to my left. I'm pretty sure Rapportive is what's causing it. It doesn't happen very often but sometimes I see that.
It’s very easy to use, and the team is very responsive and friendly to work with. The information is unique and usable and can complement some of the data we get from call recordings. The integration with Salesforce is easy to implement and offers good insights into our database.
The user interface is very user-friendly and easy to navigate. The workflow is an easy thing to incorporate into your day-to-day as a sales person. It’s very rare that I come across a glitch or website slowness. The collaborative Aspect is also a plus when I am working with others on my sales team
We have evaluated all of these vendors and some are used in tangent with the HG Insights Platform. We found that for technographic data in particular HG gave the best coverage, but a few of these do help "fill the gaps" when occasion calls. We also use multiple intent engines to help verify trends rather than being reliant on one platform. Other vendors also offer contact data as well which is integral for our outbound marketing campaigns which HG does not cover. Overall HG does perhaps stack up better than some of these however, it is only one source of data and using multiple is necessary to give a reliable result.
LinkedIn Sales Navigator continues to be a key part of our marketing strategy. We use it to manage our lead pipeline, connect with new potential customers and manage our existing clients. We started using Sales Navigator because our sales reps weren't as connected as they should be on LinkedIn. The product allows our reps to be more connected, and we're finding more opportunities by being more connected.
I don't massively get involved in financial matters, but the propensity models we use internally to help run our campaigns are certainly a big factor when our sales people approach our clients.
Every campaign sold now comes with a flat data fee for us to run and use a propensity model for the activity we complete on behalf of our clients.
Whilst the client will never see the raw data behind the model (of which HG does play a part along with our other data sources) they are briefed on the methodology and reasoning behind them.
