CodeSignalHackerEarth Assessments

I think code signal is one of the best platforms for organizations to better test the resource for their coding skills. Its way of conducting the test saves engineering time, reduces the risks that hiring companies have in technical interviews, and provides a cheating-free environment. The platform can be improved to make the new learners practice well on the platform and get used to it.

HackerEarth Assessments excels in technical hiring with coding challenges. It's ideal for roles emphasizing coding proficiency and remote recruitment, yet may be less fitting for positions requiring strong non-technical skills like communication and collaboration.

Pros
  • The test cases are quite well-written, and the grade we earn as a result of them is very fair. Users can use a unit testing tool to perform their own unit testing, allowing them to double-check their code before submitting it.
  • Intensive technical interview preparation
  • The online evaluation option is an excellent approach to assess candidates.
  • Simple UI for Simple Operations

Cons
  • Random questions are useful for practicing, but I believe they should be separated into easy, medium, and difficult levels, with a random generator to assist new coders without demotivating them.
  • The interval between assessments is a little longer this time. It should, in my opinion, be decreased in a way that benefits everyone.
  • For the technical assessment round, there is no specific solution. I will not receive a solution if I am unable to solve that question during this time. At the end of the job, a suggestion generator can be used to solve the problem and understand the way of doing it.

  • The Pricing is good for mid-size companies, but for a growing startup, it can be a bit high. Maybe they can introduce startup-friendly plans.
  • The Library of the questionnaire can be improved and updated as its long time since it has been revisited.

The overall ease of use and selection does a good job for it. The focus on design and other aspects would be super helpful in reducing the cost overhead of hiring a new person. Even though we need to take interviews still the screening process is reduced drastically. A bit more UI focus would evolve Code Signal

Usability
The UI of configuring CodeSignal for a non-technical screener can be tricky to navigate at first. Once you get the hang of the platform and how to master customization, it becomes a much smoother experience. However, some restrictions to search functions and reporting still need improvement.

Support Rating
I am not sure whether or not they have replaced but surely emerged as a big competitor. Their support system should be good knowing that they are in completion with the best hackerrank. I feel they could do a much better job but I have not used their support much
