Gem vs. Phenom Talent Experience Management (TXM) Platform

Gem is a in my opinion a necessity for any TA team in this market. It's no longer possible to be competitive with just LinkedIn - it's easy for candidates to lose those messages. Gem allows you to get noticed by candidates and stay competitive in this market!

I would recommend Phenom to large enterprise needs as opposed to smaller companies. It can be a bit complex and provide too much customisation, which sounds like a great match for large organisations, but can be counterproductive for smaller ones. It's a great tool for those companies looking to take their talent function further, get them to the next level, as it provides a range of opportunities to further EB, talent community, etc. If a company is looking for a tool for storing candidates to perform basic tasks, this tool is too sophisticated

• He does great at the moment of follow up candidates.
• It has a great AI that helps to automatically leave the status of the candidate depending on their response.
• Save you a lot of time helping you to find the contact info of the candidate automatically.

• Gem's dashboards feature is still a work in progress. It's not incredibly intuitive and there aren't many ways to visualize data.
• There are often discrepancies between what's in the ATS and what's in Gem and it requires troubleshooting.
• It would be great if Gem could integrate with data from other sources such as LinkedIn Recruiter so we could see conversion rate data from there as well.

Candidate usability is fairly straightforward and the platform is easy to engage with. There are multiple ways to search and filter roles, including status, location (including city/individual location, as well as DC/Store/Head Office, etc.), role type, and department. Usability from a website management perspective is lacking due to the centrality of control over the content.

Gem was able to allow more customization. We were able to see more into our current funnels. Easier to share and collaborate with others. Gem made email campaigns simpler and more customized. Gem took some of the LinkedIn inmail processes and automated them. Gem had better data and after some time got more accurate emails.

When comparing Phenom Talent Experience Management to Avature CRM: Avature aims very high, and sometimes gets lost in its own grandness. Phenom Talent Experience Management tends to be more user-friendly and accessible, with some more down to Earth features and functionalities. On the other hand, Avature allows for managing candidates in bulk, which is not an option for Phenom Talent Experience Management. When comparing Phenom Talent Experience Management to SmartRecruiters: the choice for Phenom Talent Experience Management was made once the decision had been made on investing on EB campaigns and building a talent community, as Phenom Talent Experience Management's capabilities are much better and broader.

• I have been able to reach out to more candidates since using Gem.
• I have been more organized with responses since using Gem.
• I am able to easily create new sequences using old sequences.

• Increased candidate engagement
• Broad customisation is leading to more sophisticated campaigns which should increase ROI
• Reports could benefit from some TLC, data integrity has been a concern
