tl;dv is an AI Meeting Assistant for recording, transcribing, and summarizing a team’s meetings. It integrates with CRMs, ticketing systems, knowledge management platforms, and over 5000 other tools.
It does the job really well. They were one of the first on the scene and have continually improved overtime. It's crazy affordable, I'm always surprised when I see the $5 monthly charge compared to other apps I pay more for and use a lot less.
tl;dv is best to use if you want to save time in jotting down notes and wish to focus instead on the meeting that's transpiring. Its AI notes functionality is especially helpful for when you only wish to see the important details that you need to take note of from the meeting.
Segmentation of the meeting itself, like for one of the calls - 1. Confirmed Action Items and Next Steps; 2. Sales Strategy and Market Segmentation; 3. Pricing and Monetization Model; 4. Customer Segmentation and User Data; 5.Contract and Partnership Details.
Speaker Insights - Talk time, Words/min, Questions/hr, Longest talk time are very critical to analyse and give feedback to train the team.
Meeting recording itself - no need to always record GMeet or Zoom and cloud.
I would like more information about how to make the most of the app as a small business. Maybe new functionalities could be pointed out, or suggestions can be made if I'm not using functions that could help my workflow.
It is a very convenient tool. Fireflies join calls automatically; you shouldn't think about it each time. It has a good integration with Slack and also sends notifications automatically. It makes good and accurate summary bullets. Also, you can check all the conversation transcription after the meeting and search specific speaker or keywords.
Fireflies.ai is made for meetings — that’s its main function — so it doesn’t include fancy features like video editing. If you need to record a podcast, it’s better to use Descript. Google Cloud is a good choice if you already have an audio file and need a very detailed transcription. Fireflies not only helps with transcription, but also with summarization and distribution. So while all three tools offer similar features, if you need a meeting copilot, Fireflies performs better.
I have used both Supernormal and Firflies.ai earlier. So while I was evaluating something seriously when I stacked the free versions of all 3 products, I think even then tl;dv showed me more value per meeting, and I could clearly see what all would get unlocked in a Premium version. Giving the user limited but detailed access on a meeting level unlocked more value for me so decision making was way easier for me.
