emPerform vs. Qualtrics XM for People Teams

How easily the system interfaces with the HRIS system is essential for setup. Unfortunately, the emPerform system doesn't seem to perform as well as we would like. Review setup is cumbersome and time consuming. We like the customized workflow, but would like more abilities to assign reviewers.

Qualtrics Employee Experience is great for annual reviews as well as weekly meetings, performance checks, quarterly events, and being able to edit and view results quickly. You can also build out reports to show everyone. I love the platform. It is nice knowing you also have 24/7 support. I highly recommend it for all events.

• Layout modifications when employees and managers are in "review" mode. The system would benefit greatly from having everything accessible with only a single click. The current layout requires the reviewer to visit different areas before even reaching the rating area.
• Cloud-based performance management! With the popularity of remote and telework positions, it would be fantastic to offer employees and managers the ability to log in from anywhere and still access the performance management system.
• Ease of use and integration with HRIS systems.

• Dashboards take a long time to build.
• Surveys must be built well or the results will not be as expected.
• Too much customization options in some areas.

We feel very strongly about moving to a platform that's easier to manage and provides our employees/managers with a faster tool. We like the convenience of cloud-based software.

We used to use Survey Monkey and it did what we needed it to do. It's not as professional though, which is one reason why the switch to Qualtrics XM for People Teams. It did have basic features that Qualtrics XM for People Teams doesn't though, such as the ability to auto-alphabetize answer choices.
