edX for Business vs. Jhana

edx is really helpful for learning and growing your skills in both personal and professional aspects. It helped us learn all the business concepts which were required for our company. We chose certification after auditing a number of courses. It was definitely a terrific tool for professionals who were self-learning.

If you are growing quickly and need to give first time people managers a resource to learn the basics this is a good tool. If you have established leaders this is not a good tool for them. It covers the basics and ABCs of people management and does not go much further than that.

• There is info on just about any HR topic there is
• There are activities and exercises that can be done

• The feature that is supposed to bookmark your progress and start you up back where you left off is rarely accurate

• It is hard to make it valuable in a specific situation. One size does not fit all.
• The exercises don't seem totally flushed out

It is an excellent tool for remote setup team. The universities are well respected, and the course depth adds a lot of value. The upskilling has become convenient. Progress can be tracked easily, and it offers customized corporate training needs fulfilled. The compliance training courses are helpful in particular as they meet growing demand.

edX for Business seemed to be quite similiar to other competitors in terms of methodology and formats. In our case, courses themes availability were very important, because the challenge was to find relevant content to support pre-defined learning tracks. We found most of them on edX for Business catalog. The posibility to integrate them into other platforms was also an important decision factor.

I have not used any other products like Jhana and I am not sure of what else would be out there. So it is hard to explain how Jhana has stacked up. I would image it stacks up well against anything else. My guess is that other tools feel a lot more corporate.

• There is no way to try the course for free to check if the content is interesting
• Valuable certificates for the cv and linkdln
• Well renamed certifications in the job market

• It quickly gives a resource to new managers
• It is something for HR to use with new managers
