Workflow and Scale
Comparison of Workflow and Scale features of Product A and Product B
The audio functionality on [doxy.me] is chronically very poor and it lacks screen sharing, so I would never recommend it as a primary telehealth platform, but I highly recommend the free BAA version as an affordable backup telehealth platform should one's primary platform fail.
I believe it is best suited for organizations that wish to utilize all of the available tools within the system. I do not believe it is well suited for organizations that lack a deep understanding of the revenue cycle process or individuals who try to cut corners in managing accounts receivables. It works extraordinarily well in situations where one will take the time to set up all the available tools, test them, and make them part of their workflow.
Speaker and microphone defaults and settings easily go wrong and result in one person not hearing the other person, and adjusting the audio in/out settings is not intuitive, nor does even making every possible adjustment always result in bringing back sound.
Sometimes all parties can hear each other, but one party's voice is chronically session after session so warped and warbled we have to mute the Doxy audio and call each other on the phone for session audio.
If a user is accessing [doxy.me] on a phone, briefly switching to another app then switching back to the Doxy screen completely messes up the audio.
[doxy.me] lacks a screen sharing option which is regrettable, because screen sharing is an integral part of my therapy practice to work on worksheets together with clients in-session.
The ads are very annoying and distracting. I would like to see these removed.
Sometimes when using the prescribing feature, the list of meds is unscrollable. This is likely a glitch that could be fixed.
Same thing after choosing a pharmacy. The preview page of Rx is unscrollable, making it impossible to see all of them. Would like to see this fixed as well.
Would like to be able to add more templates under the macros but it is not clear how to do this.
Having used other systems, there are still items I would like to see added to this platform. Additional forms, understanding of how to load those forms into the system. Ability for clients to access those forms. And the ability to upload forms that are coming in externally. This would be helpful.
My group practice uses Zoom through its electronic health record, which is absolutely higher quality than [doxy.me], due to reliable audio functionality and screen sharing capability. However, [doxy.me] free BAA version is a great benefit to have as an affordable backup. Always best practice to have a backup in the event of technology failure.
RXNT offers better quality and more customization for the cost. Valant was very expensive regardless if you wanted a few features or the entire EHR. eClinical Works is easy to duplicate records but then it can take a while to update with current information. And their updated version...you might need a magnifying glass especially if you are using on a laptop. I love the larger font and overall appeal of RXNT much better
