It is great for a practice up to 15-20 physicians. It might be slightly expensivee for a small rural 1 doc practice, but the money accumulated through EOB checking is worth the expense in my eyes

  • The Patient Info screen is very comprehensive and has lots on info readily available.

  • Updates are often "glitchy" but issues are resolved quickly.
  • Some users complain that the clinical side of the EHR system is not as user-friendly as they would like.
  • Some reports do not integrate with each other - there are fields that should be available but are not. However, through Customer Support, some custom reports can be generated and new enhancements to reports are being released.

Everything within the system works smoothly, it’s just time-consuming and could be a bit more simplistic.

Alternatives Considered
PowerWorks is more detailed but more time-consuming. It doesn’t chart from exception which takes a lot of time, there is not a copy and paste feature and no ability to refer back to anything else you have input unless you make a comment. Epic has many of these features that lead to a better work flow

I liked PracticeAdmin for the way it showed key metrics and the simplicity of the software. However, you get what you pay for, and PrimeSuite has so much more functionality than PracticeAdmin ever did. I prefer the reporting, the options available in setup, just the overall customization you can do with PrimeSuite to that of other platforms.
