As it is a very complete tool, with many features and that sometimes ends up being a little complex, I would recommend it only for medium-sized companies. Perhaps in a large company, it could complicate the processes a little instead of making it easier. But it's a great tool!
HireVue was very well suited for my interviewing process with my current company for both my initial hire and my lateral move within the organization. It was very convenient given where I am geographically located to interview with our corporate office in Rhode Island. It provided the convenience of interviewing remotely for the opening posted.
Search capabilities - ability to pipeline top talent.
Communication with hiring managers in the hiring manager portal - resumes/notes don't get lost in email and are always accessible to anyone involved in the hiring process.
Ability to customize - we've been able to change work flows for different needs, and different business groups as well.
OnDemand Interviews is a great feature that lets you set up video/multiple choice/codevue questions. You send it to the candidates and they are able to take the interview on their time and in the comfort of their own home.
HireVue and HireVue Pro apps. This is a great tool for manager and candidates to take/review interviews on the go.
HireVue has the ability to upload candidates via a CVS file, which is nice when you have tons of applicants.
I would like to be able to add more than one person to a video at once. Yes it's easy now, I just think it would be easier to blast through all of the info then hit "save."
Not sure why it says "save" instead of "send" when sending out a video interview.
I'm really trying to find weaknesses and that is why tried to be picky... If I had one more weakness I'd say I want a way to delete old users from showing up. Archiving is not good enough. There should be a delete button.
Avature is much better than OpenHire! OpenHire didn't give us the ability to share resumes or notes through the system and was very complicated to keep track of candidates that applied to multiple jobs or duplicate candidates. Was also very archaic in the interfacing and usability. Avature gave us many more options to customize our system.
HireVue isn't really in the same category at the other programs I listed so it's hard to compare them because they are all leveraged for very different purposes. HireVue was selected (to my knowledge) for its ease of use and the video interview recording function and I haven't had any major issues with the platform so I think it performs fine, but there's always room for improvement.
Time to fill has been reduced/ shortened since we are able to screen more candidates quicker.
Time to schedule has been shortened as candidates are able to self-schedule their own interviews with a hiring manager; no more chasing people through phone calls to coordinate multiple schedules.
Candidate reach has been greatly enhanced - we can reach more candidates than we ever could with traditional phone screening.
