Agari Phishing Defense vs. Clearswift SECURE Email Gateway (SEG)

I've experienced clicking some of the phishing and spam emails, but Agari Phishing Defense identified those actions I've done and sent me the details of each and every part of the email where the attack is. Very often Agari Phishing Defense misses a few emails to report the malicious emails. But, it also has a solution to report the email and responds immediately with the answer.

The CS SEG appliances are running as virtual appliances by now. They do need not much power in the ESX environment. I recommend to use at least two peers running in a cluster. The cluster feature is working very well. The CS SEG can process a huge number of emails in a very short time frame.

• It has the ability to separate the good emails from the bad, thanks to the fact that it is based on predictive AI.
• It is capable of detecting the level of threat that comes from emails, which means it can stop it in the most appropriate way and thus suppress its spread.
• It integrates easily with email applications.
• An easy-to-use tool based on the cloud, which increases the ability to respond quickly to phishing attacks.

• A vital business tool, but at a somewhat high cost for small businesses.
• Some new functions are not quite responsive, so adding them after they have been completed would be ideal.
• Simplifying your registration would be a great help in saving time.
• Having adequate knowledge to handle the software makes it easier to use it and allows it to function properly.

• Improvement is needed in the area of AV/Antispam update processing (internally)
• Improvement is needed in the log file processing. Many log file entries are not understandable for an operator or administrator without special insider knowledge
• Clearswift has recently changed the support provider. Now there are no german supporters anymore.

Comparatively, Agari Phishing Defense not only offers us cloud-based software with artificial intelligence but also helps us quickly stop any threat that could harm both our employees and our brand. It performs continuous inbox scans to find any abnormal behavior and thus prevent spread throughout the business environment. This is why we chose Agari Phishing Defense.

The Clearswift Secure Email Gateway (CS SEG) has very low license costs. A two peer cluster is enough to run a complete emailing gateway environment. Compared to the Proofpoint PPS the CS SEG does not need a management appliance. The CS SEG peers can manage the quarantine by themselves. This is easy to use and quite fast.

• It is a tool that has been vital to our company since it does not allow threats to reach our email inbox, because it carries out a scan of each email.
• Its integration with different email gateways allows us to keep our environments protected.
• It enables us to keep our employees and our brand protected from phishing and BEC threats.
