SJSU has a site-wide license for Zoom as our videoconferencing tool.

Pros

  • Easy to share screens
  • Whiteboarding is useful
  • Solves remote worker / collaborator issues

Cons

  • Invitations direct from app (when scheduling)
  • More collaboration between groups (in and out of breakout rooms)
  • Ease of use breeds increased adoption
Zoom provided cost savings, so SJSU switched from Webex to Zoom.
Zoom is well suited for guest speakers and collaborators.
