Webex Webinars: Bringing Continuation to a Device Near You
Overall Satisfaction with Webex Webinars
I use Webex Webinars to keep up with my continuing education. This keeps me up to speed on developments within the construction industry, which is continually changing as new technologies develop. My skills and knowledge base keep up with advancements in the industry, thus keeping me and, by extension, my company, well-informed.
Pros
- I very rarely have any issues with connection stability or media not interfacing well with the software.
- It is very simple to access; I usually have a link that is able to be embedded into an email.
- Webex Webinars has an intuitive UI as an end user; it is simple and straightforward.
Cons
- Webex Webinar delivers well to the end user; I have no complaints.
- The advent of webinars has made it much easier to keep up with Continuing Education Units for various certifications in the AEC industry.
- Not needing to travel or take long days off work to receive CEUs is helpful for individuals and for companies.
- I would guess at least 75% of the webinars I participate in are hosted on Webex Webinars, which means it has impacted a lot of my time in a positive way.
Microsoft Teams is a little more versatile than Webex Webinars since it used for video conferencing and collaboration, at least at first blush. However, as a hosting software for webinars, it's a little more finicky and a bit less intuitive to facilitate different media for presentation, especially if you want to incorporate audio and video elements.

Implementation is limited to the basic use of Webex Webinars, which is typically to virtually attend webinars for Continued Education credits for certifications and professional licenses.
Webinars can be attended anywhere and on different devices. One of the only organizational challenges I've encountered is that there are several other common virtual meeting platforms used to host webinars, so several apps and softwares need to be in installed to attend different webinars, which can be a minor nuisance.
Webex Webinars, as stated before, makes attending a webinar very simple.
A hybrid work model provides immense flexibility, encouraging office work, but being accommodating and understanding when life requires usto be elsewhere.
We merely choose Cisco because it is what many webinar hosts use.
