Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Data Platform

We use Veeam Data Platform to backup all of our critical IT infrastructure. The Veeam Data Platform console is one of the best graphical user interfaces I have ever used. Veeam Data Platform supports backing up to cloud repositories and it is a breeze.

Pros

  • Restore Files
  • Restore entire virtual machines
  • Backup Copy to cloud providers

Cons

  • When jobs fail sometimes the errors can be very cryptic
  • Upgrading to new versions can be a headache
  • Requires a cluster of servers

  • Veeam Data Platform makes me sleep better at night
If you want a stand alone backup solution that is very robust, I think Veeam Data Platform is perfect. In my opinion, if you need something to back up heavily guarded systems Veeam Data Platform may not be the best choice.
