Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Data Platform

Disaster Recovery, backups, cloud backups, vmware. We use the product to backup VMs at the VM level as well as SQL backups for our datacenter. We backup AD and backup a file share or two.

Pros

  • restoring VMs
  • restoring individual files from full VM backups
  • restoring AD objects

Cons

  • overall view of retention
  • error details from within the dashboard rather than logs

MSP360 Managed Backup, SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor (npm), OpsGenie
it's overall the best backup/DR software I've used so it's appropriate and well suited for just that. I know there is a lot more that it can do so I need to spend some time learning more.
