Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Backup & Replication

We back up all of our Windows and Linux servers with Veeam.

Pros

  • Full system disk backup
  • Virtual host backup
  • Price point is good

Cons

  • Restores of backups have been very clunky and diffcult to do successfully
  • GUI interface is not very intuitive
  • Had issues with Linux disk encryption

  • The cost of our annual backup software subscription went down about 33%.
  • However, I spent maybe 40 man hours getting the software installed and working correctly.
It's price point makes it attractive, especially for organizations with only a handful of servers that can use the community edition.
