Veeam Backup & Replication

Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Backup & Replication

Veeam Backup & Replication is being used company-wide. Meaning all our servers pretty much get backed up with this tool. The business problem is solves is slow or failed backups whether on disk, tape, or cloud. Veeam seems to handle the large backups better than anything else we've tried.

Pros

  • Everything is straightforward and easy to use.
  • Backups are done in less time than before.
  • Testing restores is quick and easy.

Cons

  • Better integration with select cloud services
  • Easier to find admin/advanced tools
  • More granular file inspection inside VM backups
  • All kinds of time and aggravation saved
  • Cost in the long run is lowered.
  • Support tickets for difficult issues have saved us time.
I'm highly likely to recommend Veeam Backup & Replication and its fully-featured suite to colleagues. There is not much to it. If you do VM backups (or even physical now) then this is one of the best. Maybe not one of the cheapest but it is not always a great idea to skimp on backup systems.
