Veeam Backup & Replication

Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Backup & Replication

We use Veeam solely in our IT department to take care of our VM backups, VM replication, and VM restores. It is a great solution for keeping your VMs safe and ready in the result of data loss or bringing up a DR site. We replaced Commvault backup with Veeam.

  • Fast restores and test restores
  • Data security and peace of mind

  • Advanced options easier to find
  • Interface could be a little clearer
  • Saved IT time doing backups
  • Reduced complexity of backups
  • Slightly cheaper than previous solution
Previous to Veeam Backup & Replication we were using Commvault for VM backups and it was slow and clunky. The interface was very hard to use and the layout caused info overload. Veeam makes it a lot easier to do simple things and does still have advanced options. Because of this, I'd recommend it for any organization doing VM backups with other tools.
