Veeam Backup & Replication

Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Backup & Replication

Veeam Backup & Replication is being used by our organization to backup our end-user Citrix environment. We use this for the ability to backup a large volume of data without impacting performance as much as possible. We don't use it for standalone server environments as it doesn't seem to be the best solution for that type of setup.

  • solutions for our citrix users
  • ability to give full solutions to our clients
  • fairly expensive solution
Veeam is better than these other solutions because it works well in a Citrix farm environment. We're able to run backups at night with little to no impact to clients.
Veeam Backup & Replication is well suited for larger corporations with a large volume of data to backup, due to the way it handles data backup. I would not consider it a solution for disaster recovery though. I don't think it handles image-based backups well enough to put all of your "eggs in one basket."
