Veeam Backup & Replication

Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Backup & Replication

We have numerous workstations and virtual machines that utilize Veeam Backup and Replication. We create daily or weekly snapshots to make any unexpected failures easier to correct. Veeam does everything, automatically making our jobs easy.

Pros

  • Backs up virtual machines.
  • Backs up bare metal machines.

Cons

  • Upgrading.
  • So far it has provided very good ROI for us, and it accomplishes all that we need it to.
  • Other than a few headaches updating, we haven't had much difficulty using it.
I am still getting to know Unitrends, but they seem pretty equal.
If you have a lot of systems that need to be regularly backed up, you should look at using Veeam. It performs backups automatically every day or every week. It is especially useful for virtual machines, as the Veeam backups take up less disk space than the virtual machine snapshots.
