Growing Pains
Overall Satisfaction with TriNet
We use TriNet to manage most of our HR systems. With a team of about 37 employees located in almost 20 different states, the platform helps us keep track of all the compliance, labor laws and insurance benefits for each employee in each state. As you can imagine, this could be a full-time job on its own, so it's useful to have TriNet do a lot of the legwork.
Pros
- Keeping up-to-date on changing exempt and non-exempt requirements
- Keeping track up up-to-date compliance laws
- They have a really great online chat support
Cons
- In my opinion, our onboarding experience was horrific; the specialist basically got everything wrong, and a full year later, we're still finding systems that were set up incorrectly
- In my experience, lack of flexibility when it comes to different kinds of PTO accrual plans
- In my experience, lack of ability to directly manage employees, for example, if a PTO plan needs to be adjusted or a new deduction set up, we have to go through a long process of paperwork and emails and whatnot to get it to work correctly
- In my opinion, lack of transparency when it comes to taxes and other things that TriNet pays on behalf of our company
- Getting up to speed in HR compliance
- Providing much better benefits options than we could get on our own
