Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop Enterprise

Very easy and user-friendly interface, Splashtop is very easy to install and to the parameter. I strongly recommend Splashtop in case of heavy resources software needs, like CAD software like CATIA, Solidworks, and s.o. The needs in performance for the graphic card are totally covered (refreshing screen, model definition, heavy assembly, etc.) Far more reliable and strong than current solutions like RD from MS, less expensive than other OEM remote desktop solutions (TeamViewer i.e.).

Cons

  • Maybe to allow screenwriting/messaging in the basic package between the remote and local computer
  • Sometimes difficult to install update of the ST streamer (local networks IT limitation)
  • In general, product is really well designed
  • ROI of course, due to reliable solution and easy-to-use oriented
  • User-friendly interface does not scare It allergic users
  • Really easy adapted solution for a small business company
I am currently on a support experience, the first as a user of Splashtop, probably because of a change in the IT policy at the customer site. So I can not answer truly to your question right now. As previously said, as the software is really reliable, I have not needed till now any support from the Splashtop team.

TeamViewer, Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection Manager (RDCMan), Apple Remote Desktop
CAD/FEA machines remote control is really well supported by Splashtop, because of the specific needs of displaying, refreshing, etc. CAD software, resource-intensive softwares, requests a strong solution to take control of the remote. Splashtop seems to be the most reliable and affordable solution for a small company without passing through the heavy concurrent solutions. I have not yet known a less appropriate scenario. Who can manage the more can do the less
