Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop

I am an owner-operator of a small radio station in Bracebridge, Ontario. I live 4 hours away from the station and work remotely on a daily basis. Splashtop is essential to the success of the station and allows me to fix any issues immediately. There is no latency, and working with it is easy. It allows file transfers and downloads easily. Great product and highly recommended.

Pros

  • Ease of use for even those with a non tech background.
  • Takes up little space, and most of all very little memory.
  • Quick response on resolving any issues (we can't be down).

Cons

  • Ease of file transfers. It sometimes does not work for me.
  • Ability to customise features.
  • I can remotely place and run ads for the station, which is our bread and butter. I could not run the business without a reliable service.
They are quick to answer by email. I was surprised at the quick response. I have only had to reach out to the team from Splashtop once or twice for support, and that's a good thing. They were responsive and friendly. Offered some good advice and shortcuts. They realized that my time is important.
Yes - Chrome remote desktop and Teamviewer. Both had plenty of glitches and offered services I did not need.

My remote work often involves being in a remote session for at least an hour. It is excellent for these long sessions as it rarely disconnects while using the app. Other similar programs are expensive and often offer way more options than I need. This is a simple and easy to use app. I can also use it while out of the office and on the road.

Quick action when the computer at the station failed. we are able to reinstall Splashtop of the new computer quickly and get back on air within an hour

Splashtop Reliability

Only used on one site, by one person.
It has always come back up right after a power outage.
Very little lag time and pages load quickly.

Everything worked well. We get notifications closed to renewal time and the vendor (Splashtop) always gives us tips on what we might be able to use and integrate into the system.
