Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Splashtop was used by the organization as a lightweight remoting software tool. This tool was used as a means to remotely and securely access PC's to troubleshoot issues. Due to the ease of installing this program, we were able to push it out remotely and easily access a user's computer whenever needed. This allowed us to perform our duties even when employees worked remotely.

License management is difficult online
Not as feature rich as other remoting softwares
Did not automatically update

Allows for low-worry travel or out-of-office demands

Support Rating

We did not connect with Splashtop support very often, but when we did have to it was usually ticket based and not the quickest to answer. If you have a small, but great in house team it was easy to troubleshoot issues, though. We never connected with their phone support.

Likelihood to Recommend

Splashtop is most well-suited for businesses and companies that have a smaller employee footprint without a large IT staff to support. This software is on the cheaper side, but you also lose features compared to other remoting software. Due to the fact that administration is not very good on this software, it is not recommended to use for large companies.
