Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop

We use it mainly in IT and production departments. Apart from the most obvious use cases for IT, Splashtop allowed us to configure user's VPN and access to the enterprise resources from their home internet connections and check everything in a real use case, without the need to configure the user's laptops in a lab environment or having to deploy tech in situ. For the production department, we use it to help operators in their daily operations with ERP and MES tools without moving to the factory and also to check the status of some standalone machines.

Pros

Cons

  • Deployment through Active Directory
  • Custom domain download URL
  • Native push installer (now manual only)
  • A competition licensing scheme would have cost us five times more for the exact same service
  • We bought Splashtop in 2020, so it saved us a lot of time and money deploying teleworkers.
I needed some help setting up tech accounts. They answered quickly and solved everything.

We think Splashtop may be best suited when the support team needs to use multiple instances simultaneously (not able to share single licenses). Almost all remote support and control cases fit Splashtop perfectly.
The only weakness may be in very big environments where you need to deploy to 100s or 1000s of devices. Of course, you can build an MSI package and deploy it with Intune or your preferred platform, but I miss a more customizable package builder and a native push installer.
