Overall Satisfaction with Slack

We use Slack to communicate internally with all members of our organization. Slack us allows us to communicate interdepartmentally as well as reach members of our organization in other regions of the world. Almost all of our systems are connected to Slack including Salesforce and Gong. We celebrate wins on Slack and create many channels that include business focused use cases as well as culture and hobby related channels to connect with our colleagues on things not work related.

Pros

  • Huddle give us a way to easily jump on a voice call with someone
  • Allows collaboration on business problems
  • Easily chat with any member of the organization

Cons

  • Sometimes Huddles have audio or video issues
  • The number of channels can become overwhelming
  • There can be delays in loading and syncing
  • Allows for faster collaboration in real time
  • Integrates with key tools in our tech stack
  • Easy to save and search chats
It is intuitive and extremely easy to learn and use. Teams of all functions can utilize its many features. The mobile app is also extremely easy to use and highly functional.
Slack is much easier to use, has a better UI, and has way more functionality.

Slack is well suited to sync with Salesforce so that when opportunities are closed won, it automatically posts in Slack without having to enter anything manually. Slack also integrates well with Gong so that when someone comments on calls or adds notes, you are alerted via notifications in Slack.
