Configured Commerce with CMS
Overall Satisfaction with Optimizely Content Management System
We use CMS to control display across our multiple websites front end on top of Configured Commerce. We use it for creating static content as well as product layouts.
CMS helps us to keep an organized site layout and simplify navigation for users.

Pros
- Tree Layout of pages in console
- Custom widgets able to drop in to site
- Consistent development
- Generally simple layout
Cons
- Recreating similar content often needs start from scratch
- Ability to see deeper details about widget code/function
- Moving pages or widgets can cause frustrating breaking issues
- Unable to duplicate widgets including their content
- Outside of my scope, but generally the team has said it has been frustrating to smoothly build pages
Being able to keep one catalog source that can spread to our multiple business units and being able to have our development team create custom widgets for new functionality.
