Overall Satisfaction with NinjaOne

After covid hit we went from a virtual desktop solution for production employees to laptops. After being able to manage desktops virtually I needed a similar solution to manage all the laptops that suddenly appeared. I had barely started looking at solutions when one day I got a call from NinjaOne. I tried it out and loved it. It did everything I needed it to do - it gave me visibility and manageability for all my laptops (I ended up adding all physical desktops/laptops to it). We added the Splashtop for remote management and that was the perfect fit.

Pros

  • Clear insight into the machine - powered up, on the network, etc.
  • I can tell easily at a glance whether the machine is up to date on OS patches.
  • I can remote to the machine anywhere, as long as it has an internet connection and whether or not the user is logged in - a big plus.
  • This is a small point but for me has been important - I know which particular machine is where - I know it's hardware and firmware level.

Cons

  • I know NinjaOne can do much more but some of the scripting and implementing is intimidating and confusing. I believe it was written much more with a MSP in mind.
  • The scripting environment is not easy to understand. I haven't had time to learn it.
  • I can monitor all the remote users very effectively now. We are not a large company but with a one man IT department there is no way I could manage them effectively.

Do you think NinjaOne delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with NinjaOne's feature set?

Yes

Did NinjaOne live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of NinjaOne go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy NinjaOne again?

Yes

I think for a small one man shop with many remote employees something like NinjaOne is almost required. This was the solution I chose. I like it, it works well, even with my lack of knowledge of all the features, and the company is great. They really seem to care about their customers.
I would assume it would also be applicable in larger enterprise environments as well. But I really don't feel I can speak to that specifically.
