Overall Satisfaction with MS SharePoint / SQL

I work in the construction industry and MS SharePoint is very easy to access. Anyone from our employees in the field, to employees in the office can view, edit, create and share multiple types of documents to ease our coordination. It makes it very easy to send large files via links.

Pros

  • File share.
  • Coordination.
  • Easy communication outlet.

Cons

  • Difficult user face for people lacking technological skills.
  • One click share links.
  • Excel is very laggy.
  • Cheaper than other "big box" companies.
  • Multipurpose capabilities.
  • VERY EASY TO LEARN how to use.
As stated in numerous slides before, asking the same question, SharePoint is the ideal software when working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. It is very easy to share large files (PDFs, documents, blueprints) and collaborate with team members inside and outside of our base office.

We love SharePoint here, where I work. We use it for every aspect of construction documentation and contracts. It is very easy to share large files with a few mouse clicks. I feel SharePoint is very beneficial in a business setting because it allows sharing, storing, and organizing documents in and out of the network.
