Overall Satisfaction with Miro
Miro helps with collaborations on creative tasks that are not linear but lateral thinking. Its free-form format allows anyone to jump on it, contribute, and play with any ideas on the broad. That's especially helpful for a creative industry, where we can put ideas and references at the same time to see the magic happen. Sometimes, we can also get the client to join in and give comments - without needing to put together a deck that needs a lot of time and effort.
Pros
- Brainstorm and ideas throwing.
- Getting comments and feedbacks.
- Collaboration with colleagues and clients.
- Be your personal brain dump.
Cons
- Easy for non-tech-savvy people to get lost.
- Cannot pull one person specifically to me.
- Search for additional features beyond the ones of the left bar is difficult.
- Reduced development items for mundane graph drawing.
- Helps create new ideas by freely dragging different ideas together.
- Improved my planning for my work.
I can easily work with colleagues in different time zones because all the progress is on the whiteboard. I can review the new changes while keeping the old ideas on the same board, so I can easily cross-reference when I need to - which reduces my need to jump around a million different screens to get what I need.
The entry bar for learning how to use Miro is not high. Especially if you use Mac, it glides like butter and it's easy to get started with using it. It has a lot of features that are designed to specify running virtual workshops - which others don't have. It's just not great for developing a rigorous document - which powerpoint is good at.
