Miro Starts Everything Off Right
Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We use Miro for interactive research, note taking, course ideation, project management and course module creation. It's the central point and beginning point of any new idea or project. We've also used it to plan out our year in advance, and be a central hub for an interactive view of multiple documents on Google Drive.
Pros
- Infinite whiteboard allows creativity for linear and non-linear thinkers
- Ability to create timed sessions for modules or remote facilitation
- Collaborative tools for real time creation
Cons
- Load speed could be drastically improved for opening the board on app and web browser
- Search functionality for various boards can be improved
- Export function can be upgraded beyond simple export range
- Spreadsheet functionality is really poor
- Allowed us to create an MVP of a course in a weekend off-site
- Reduced the constant searching for the best software to start with, we just know, start in Miro and then based on what's needed we can grow from there, this improved productivity and initial inertia
- Allowed us to mock up proposals on the spot in sales calls leading to 15% sales bump
It's the central source of truth. So whether it's working with those in Europe, on the East or West Coast or Canada, it makes things easy to get started on new projects. I'd say the challenge has been driving the projects to completion once ideated through Miro. And so its been important for other tools to help with that part. We started about 10 different project this year through Miro and the boards are constantly re-referenced at each stage.
