Overall Satisfaction with Miro

As a remote worker, I use Miro to create engaging virtual meetings. I also run workshops to collect valuable insights into the different business units I support, such as client journey mapping, prioritization exercises, etc.
I appreciate the ability to choose from existing templates. I always find something that helps support my work. On the rare occasion where I may not, I appreciate that I can create my own boards to inspire innovative work.

Pros

  • Collaboration between multiple users at once in the same board. It's easy to run live workshops and have many collaborators work on the same thing. The hide collaborators function is very handy, in that case.
  • A multitude of templates to meet your needs and provide inspiration.
  • Always working to improve and integrate new functions.
  • Resources to support the users, no matter their level of comfort with Miro.
  • Easy access for visitors to collaborate on shared boards.

Cons

  • Not everyone can keep up with all the changes as they are happening. Thankfully, we can go back to resources for more information.
  • The changes to the look caught me off guard. I use Miro practically daily and when the list of what is in my "Spaces" followed me into a board, it was an adjustment. I didn't expect it and didn't like it at first. Now I just close it because when I'm working on a board, I want to focus on the board. Not see my list. Now I can appreciate the quick navigation option.
  • We are saving thousands of dollars in travel costs by having virtual workshops in place of in-person workshops.
  • We are completing projects sooner than projected because we have the ability to do virtual workshops.
  • Our Miro boards give folks the opportunity to walk away, think on the problem a little longer and come back to the board when it's convenient to contribute well thought out ideas, rather than just rely on poorly timed meetings to capture feedback.
Miro is my favorite tool to use to collaborate with my peers. As a remote worker, I use it daily to engage with my team. It helps me perform my duties without adding the stress and cost of travel.
Everything I might do in person as a facilitator, I can do with Miro. The ability to collect ideas, prioritize and vote are particularly useful for me in my day to day. Thanks to Miro's collection of templates, I can introduce some fun elements to my sessions and make them more engaging.
Our team is stronger and more effective at delivering meaningful workshops for our organization thanks to Miro.

Yes

Miro helps us collect feedback from team members regardless of where they are located. There were times, before Miro, where we would have to wait until we could all meet in person. This was challenging considering our calendars and obligations. Our virtual meetings are more engaging. The audience has the ability to participate and contribute in a meaningful way. We have also been using Miro for virtual training sessions. Students have the ability to engage with the training material in a different way. With features that allow you export the boards, it also helps them focus on the work rather than note taking. There will always be a few people in the group that are anxious when dealing with new technology, but if you have at least one person who is comfortable using Miro or have the links to the Miro tutorials from the Miro help center everything will be fine. Most people quickly get the basics of navigating Miro.
