Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I've personally used Miro for various use cases such as facilitating workshops/meetings/brainstorms, storing information for personal use, enabling project management and tracking, and even appreciation boards!

Pros

  • Simultaneous editing and collaboration
  • User-friendly interface + accessibility with its many templates
  • Ample functionality and formats of components to insert

Cons

  • I find it relatively difficult to build and manage tables on Miro
  • Using it as a key project management tool e.g. facilitating deadlines, assigning tasks (other than just mentioning someone via comment)
  • Not sure if this is a Miro or an Emma issue, but I noticed many team members get recurring access issues to using Miro
  • Improved collaboration especially for more global teams such as mine
  • Higher efficiency storing intangible/more scattered information
I've seen Miro being used by teams in the organization within the same and across different departments to be able to facilitate brainstorms and hypothetical thinking situations fairly well without requiring the additional investment of travel costs and time.
Miro is much more intuitive and user-friendly and therefore much simpler to collaborate on and can much more easily invite adoption from a wide range of stakeholders given the accessibility of its different functions. Figma, however, does have the edge of much more advanced functions for design and enabling users to organize information and visuals well.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

I feel that Miro is most effective in cases where harder-to-digest or more theoretical topics need to be communicated to or collaborated upon by a wider audience, e.g. doing SWOT analyses, visualizing processes, and facilitating the different sections of a multi-pronged workshop. Naturally, this also means that it's harder to try and organize information in a more linear fashion, e.g. documenting information for longevity of a project or area within the business.
