Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I use Miro with a small team who work together to plan, design and deliver an interdisciplinary course in social sciences for undergraduate students. It helps us to collaborate, organise resources, keep track of each others' progress on course design, and stay connected when we are working remotely.

Pros

  • It would be nice to have a Mac app.
  • Sometimes boards are laggy and slow to update.

It was easy for us to implement Miro in our education-focused team - Miro offers an education license which we took advantage of to sign up our course design team to the platform.
Miro was easy to integrate into our workflow and helped us to transition into a remote work environment at the onset of the pandemic. It allowed us to reduce our email usage and have a single shared space for collaboration.
We have been able to collaborate effectively on new projects since the move to remote working, and have used Miro boards as a way to outline new ideas, brainstorm about approaches to online teaching, and plan new course content.

Miro offers better visual features than other platforms like Slack/Teams, giving you more options for sharing and collating ideas in a visually appealing way.
Miro is well suited to collaboration across a small, multi-functional team. Boards are great ways to organise thoughts and ideas, plan specific projects both with short-term and long-term goals, and are useful for visually checking in on both your own progress and the progress of colleagues. The features are easy to use, board templates are useful and functional, and the interface is accessible to a wide range of users.
